Upon arrival we located the key box and let ourselves in, the host allowed us to check in early.2 nice bedrooms, bathrooms downstairs and a loft which we didn't use. We enjoyed the porch with ceiling fans which allowed us to catch a couple of sunsets across the bay. The walk to the beach is an easy 2 minutes or so. The beach is wide and not crowded and has a little vehicle traffic which was well behind where folks sit on the beach. The location is near Salinas park which has vehicle beach access, a bay boardwalk, and pickleball courts. Its a quick drive to PSJ and about 25 minutes to Appalachicola.Next visit we plan to bring one of our dogs. There is a pretty good walk to the beach if you have to haul a bunch of stuff. That was really my only issue was the walk to the beach with all of our stuff in tow. Beautiful area. It was close walk to beach with boardwalk to the ocean. We took our boat and had plenty of room for parking. There was plenty of outdoor seating if you have time to sit. They had plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. The community was dog friendly and almost all residents had dogs. It was the perfect size for our family, great location (15 minutes from Port St Joe and 15 minutes from the state park). We enjoyed the beach in the neighborhood but a beach wagon is a must if you have lots of beach gear since it's a 5-10 minute walk from the home.
