Too much noises outside like if there wasn’t any windows so it’s hard to sleep well and the wifi is horrible ! Overall it’s a good « hotel » expect if you want to spend more than a few days I don’t recommand it at all!

Bon hébergement dans l'ensemble mais un problème avec la climatisation qui soufflait des débris sur le lit et un chauffage beaucoup trop fort ... De plus le canapé lit était très inconfortable. Une localisation parfaite et un personnel dans l'ensemble à l'écoute des clients et disponible.

I appreciate the lower price for a hotel in Manhattan but two of three nights there was a lot of noise in the hallway and in the room beside mine (fights, yelling, sex) and it was then that I realized how helpful it is to have someone at the front desk 24/7. I did not feel safe going out into the hallway to tell people to quiet down as I suspected they were drunk.

We were on the 4th floor on the 17th Street side and was so noisy, could not sleep. Windows seemed wide open as there was so much noise. Thought the cars, trucks were coming through the room! And loud noise like blows from metal bars right above our heads in the middle of the night. Positive is it was cleaned, easy check in with e-mail and codes very clear and in a timely manner, also very well located easy to walk or take subway near by. If we could have slept well, all would have been perfect!

J’anticipais le check-in sans réceptionniste, mais la clé numérique pour l’entrée et la chambre étaient finalement bien pratiques. Nous n’avions pas encore reçu les infos jusqu’à 1 heure avant le check-in dû à un formulaire incorrect mais en textant, ce fut assez rapide d’avoir une réponse. Nous sommes restés une semaine et il y avait quelqu’un au desk à tous les jours. Chambre minuscule avec salle de bain privée au 4e étage, dans un bloc typique des appartements de New York. Aucunement déçue, le service était ce à quoi je m’attendais: pas de ménage, de changement de serviette ni de refill de papier de toilette. En étant averti, on passe un très beau voyage, étant très peu dans la chambre finalement!

Bare minimum comfort & poor service
Booked the hotel, as it was relatively average priced hotel in the area and in a convenient location. But I paid the price for the quality of the room and service Chelsea Inn Hotel provides. Couple of key points to be aware of before booking: 1. Self-check in - Arrived at the hotel to find out that I never received the check in details with the full info about the services. It’s a self- check in based system, which is fine but it took at least 15-20 mins to fill in the form online 2. No elevator - there was no prior info of this anywhere on Hotels.com while I booked the stay. Had to carry up my luggage by myself to the 4th floor 3. No housekeeping - when I asked the reception, they said you have to pay extra for housekeeping due to Covid reasons (while I saw no other Covid precautionary measures in the Hotel or in fact anywhere else in NYC)

Très beau sejour à newyork. Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet hôtel. La chambre est vraiment miniscule. A trois adulte c'est très compliqué de plus le canapé qui sert de couchage est très petit 1.60 m. Obligé de se recroqueviller pour dormir. Pas normal lorsque vous réserver pour 3 adultes. Le personnel pas aimable et pas du tout arrangeant. On a demander à laisser nos valises car le vol était tard. Il on refusé.

Trop cher pour ce que c'est
Hotel idéalement placé, mais trop cher pour ce que c'est. Pas d'ascenseur, pas de menage pendant le sejour ou de changement de serviettes, il faut payer 35 dollars!!!. Chambres minuscules avec salle de bain partagé. En revanche tres propre.

Awefull experience. Very little room in front of the garbage without windows. NO SERVICES : no desk, the room isnt cleaned until the check out. Aggressive employee for the check out. We payed 200 dollar a night : it is a shame. It is not an hotel. An AIRBNB would be largely better.

The Chelsea Inn the staff was welcoming. It is not a hotel that ushers you with information about the neighborhood. The room is small but clean and quiet. The bed to sleep on- superb. The internet sometimes spotty. Four flights of stairs at a steep angle was intense but fine. The location is excellent

Rooms were super clean. In person front desk people were super friendly. AC was incredible. It felt very safe. Rooms are small (but we knew that from the pictures) but comfortable and layout makes sense!

Habia cucarachas en la habitacion. Cuando llegué la habitacion no estaba limpia, en el baño habia pelos en la bañera y en el lavamanos. El peor hotel que me he hospedado en New York. No lo recomiendo.

Very clean and quiet. Nice area and friendly staff. Loved the location. Only reason it is not a full 5 stars is because the mattress was so worn that you slid to the middle and with 2 people you felt like you were sleeping on a wedge all night. Our daughter lives near here so we’d love to return often and recommend but the mattress may deter us.

It is NYC after all. Street noises etc sometimes intruded and of course the sidewalks could be dirty but that’s not their fault. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was tight but functional. Entry and exit was easy and I really liked not carrying a card key.

The staff were very friendly and "always" helpful. I would choose this accommodation again and again. It's not luxury accommodation, but you can't expect that for this price. The rooms were clean and habitable. As we only stayed there to sleep, everything was fine for us. The bed squeaked a little when moving, but as I said - it was enough for us! The location of the hotel is excellent, with delicious cafés and restaurants just around the corner.

Very centrally located in lower Manhattan. Close to lots and so much more within a 25 min train ride. Bed was comfy, shower was hot, fridge and microwave was a good thing.

The unstaffed check-in is problematic. Access Cides can go to your spam box (I discovered too late) and tphones can run out of power leaving on the street (as was the case with single female traveler I ran into waiting outside late at night) Phones not always answered in a timely manner. Stairway is really dirty. No elevator. My room was on the 5th floor! Bad water Pressure. There is a coffee machine in room but with a cord not long enough to reach power receptacle. Room itself is adequate and price, although high, better than most options.
