"The pool and hot tub were very nice and very clean! Overall, the property is in fairly good condition. There are just scuff marks on the walls and spots where the woodwork has been scratched. Just needs an update but was very comfortable and cozy place to stay."

"This was the second time that I stayed at Hotel Galena. I was in town with my wife, we visited for Galena's Whiskey Weekend. We both really enjoyed the convenience and affordability of the hotel. It's quaint space gives a bed and breakfast feel, with the privacy of a small hotel. The rooms are clean and fresh, with a nod to Galena's rich history. The continental breakfast is satisfying with biscuits and gravy, hardboiled eggs, granola, fresh coffee and juices. The breakfast room is a place where we got a chance to interact with other guests. Nate and his staff were welcoming and charming. There is a small kitchen on the third floor with a refrigerator to keep your leftovers and travel food while you stay at the hotel. It is far enough from the main street where you can have some space but walk to the sites and leave your vehicle behind. A great value."

"Nice location if wanting to visit downtown Galena. Hotel has a shuttle that will take you there. Restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and drinks. Nightly entertainment was also good. Would stay there again when visiting the area."

"Only complaint we have was parking. On saturday pm galena busy..so we parked behind in public parking and pd. We still had to get our bags upstairs. So after getting a bite we found parking across the street from apartment. Ended up with 15 ticket. So 20 later we drove home. Loved apartment. So cold we stayed in except to eat. Steps are a bit steep for us oldies but very clean and comfortable . Please check glass shower door...the one without the towel bar seems off track when trying to turn shower on. Thank you so much .....the parking for us was the only issue...we r used to pulling up to door or at least near it and unloading since i tend to overpack! Again thank u"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Asa Haile House. The house had everything we could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and charming. We loved sitting in the library and browsing the books. We also enjoyed the great views down over Galena. A very short walk down the (long) stairs to get to Galena Main Street. Walking back up is a great workout, LOL :). Thank you for opening up the Gem to us! "

"We had such a wonderful experience. Host was great at communicating and was so kind to leave a few treats to enhance our stay. The accommodations were very quaint, comfortable and clean and appreciated that they stocked items just in case (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.). Parking was a big plus as was the very close proximity to downtown Galena- easy walk but far enough away from the hustle & bustle. Hope to stay again soon! "
