Lefevre Inn and Resort is a hidden gem in the Galena area. It was easy to find, just a short five minute drive from downtown. Check in was easy, and staff was super friendly. The room was clean and had amazing country views. The chairs and table outside our room was nice for coffee and relaxation. This was the perfect spot to be close to shopping but far enough outside of town to be extremely peaceful and away from the crowds. I heard the occasional cow or rooster but not much else. It was very quiet and just what we needed for a great weekend!

We planned a last minute trip to Galena, but we wanted to bring our dog with us, and we came across this place. They definitely made our experience unforgettable! It's a bit out of the downtown area (like 3 min drive so not bad at all). However the area, the view, the peace made it the perfect place to stay. Upon arrival, they gave our dog a little bag with treat (homemade in a farm close by), and a little toy which he loved, also the room had a little area for his food and water bowl. The room was super spacious, clean, comfortable, and the fireplace made it even more special. They had a lot of extra amenities like the coffee machine, glasses for wine, magazines about the Galena and Dubuque. Definitely going back there every time we visit Galena.
