"We spend here for two weeks and it was so wonderful. The place was exactly like in pictures and the view was almost more beautiful. It was nice and quiet and everyone was so helpful. We didn't have car, so needed good shoes for hiking, but the bus goes also quite near and quite often."

"The house was nice but a bit old fashioned, the bathroom in the first floor had no shower, it should be fixed. The sink in the washroom ground floor was blocked. The fire place had no wood and the electrical heater was underpowered. Daytimes there was a lot of traffic noise…at night it was o.k. But it’s an ideal place for hiking. The garden was lovely."

"Quiet, clean, in the middle of forest and agriculture. Manager Linda was helpful in providing us with kitchen items lacking in the property. She also provided a lovely fruit basket and some food staples on arrival that were most welcome as well as giving us a contact for a taxi transfer."

"Wonderful location, you jump into the pool then jump into the ocean. Great bar/restaurant near the pool and a very large breakfast offered. Service was very good, and we will definitely come back. "I liked the fact the hotel was quiet and tucked out of the way from the hustle and bustle of central Funchal with good views and surrounding scenery. My room was very spacious and comfortable (superior double) and worth every penny. The staff were all very welcoming and most helpful with any requests such as booking taxis or giving advice about local activities and trips. My only slight criticism is that they had no USB charging points in the room but luckily I did bring two adapter plugs with me so was easily able to charge my various devices - plenty of spare sockets in the room."
