"Great little place on the main street in Barbizon. Friendly owners who persevered in English due to our lack of French skills. Not particularly fancy or anything, but very good value for the price. You can walk to some boulders in about 20-30 minutes which is a big bonus. Parking was not included like it said on the listing which was a shame, but we parked easily 2 mins walk away so wasn't an issue."

The advert said beach close by and that was the case with the nearest 100 meters away and it is a beautiful beach, other lovely beaches are only a few minutes by car, you will find lovely local shops 2 miles away that sell everything including a very tempting...

"What a stunning location and a lovely and very well equipped gite. Solange and Henri were friendly and always reacted well to questions or issues. It's an area we hadn't really visited before and we loved it - also great to have a well marked 8km dog friendly circular walk passing right outside the gite! Lots of places to visit nearby and stunning countryside."

"Very nice English influenced clean house. Big garden with all the privacy. Private parking just next to the house. We had very nice chats with the owner. Because of a bit rainy weather sometimes we didn't use the swimming pool much, but the pool was very big and nice to swim in. Thanks Chris and Gill for this lovely week!"

"Les cottages de Léon sont top, le fait d'être dans un hébergement en dur dans un village vacances c'est très appréciable. C'est spacieux et il y a des rangements, petit bémol sur les couettes à disposition restées "à l'ancienne" mais ceci dis elles étaient emballées donc lavées entre chaque location et ceci n'est pas systématique dans les hébergements locatifs.
