Yes, the room felt neglected. We had to fix the window that was stock open in zero degrees Fahrenheit. The heat in the room was turned on full to about 85 degrees. There were no cups in the room. The general maintenance around the entire lodge is lacking from siding falling off the buildings. It’s a very cute lodge. We had zero hot water when we arrived. Told the staff, who said they’d be there in two minutes, and didn’t show up. We called them back and they then told us to wait again. They eventually came 25 minutes after the initial phone call and told us the boiler was broken and that there was nothing they could do about it. They did not offer any compensation, even when we asked for a discount. They couldn’t provide us with another room bc they were sold out. We felt unsafe bc they didn’t know what was wrong with the boiler, couldn’t tell us if it was turned off, if it was gas or electric, and didn’t have a carbon monoxide detector. We ended up having to leave at 10:45 at night bc we felt unsafe, didn’t have any hot water for a shower, and the staff couldn’t resolve our concerns. When asked for a refund they refused. Nice staff and the stay was as expected for the price. Cheaper stay but a good spot if you just need a place to sleep for the night and ski during the day. Lots of room in the single king room to dry out equipment, ect. I stayed here a few years ago and it was average.. an older building but seemed clean and was comfortable. I can handle that. This recent stay, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets smelled clean. The important parts of the bathroom and the mini fridge were clean too. But pretty much everything else appeared it hadn't been touched. The carpet didn't appear to have been vacuumed; there was a candy wrapper on the floor. The wall in front of the bathroom sink had tons of toothpaste marks, the wall plate for the blow dryer was hanging out of the wall, the vent was hanging out of the ceiling, and the curtain rod wasn't secure. The side parking lot was a sheet of ice. Breakfast was almost a joke - cereal, a few bagels, milk and juice. Coffee was brown water. I wouldn't recommend staying here based on my last visit. Shower water pressure was very low. Had a coffee maker but there was no outlet to use it except in the bathroom. The good news is your in walking distance of town.
