We really wanted to love this hotel because there are many things to appreciate. The eclectic, trendy furnishings give it a unique personality, the bed was very comfortable, and the bedding and pillows were excellent. The included breakfast was also good, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, there were several areas that could have been improved. Security was a concern. The front doors were unlocked even around 1 a.m., with no obvious security measures in place and no one at the front desk. There was also no key required to access the elevator. Since there were no safes in the rooms, this left us questioning how secure our valuables were. The shower itself had an amazing showerhead, but the water pressure was quite low, so it didn’t provide the experience we expected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the large rust stain on the curtain covering the skylight. It appeared to be from a window leak and was highly visible—the first thing we saw each morning when we woke up. I mentioned it to the front desk, and the staff member seemed surprised. However, after reading previous reviews, I was disappointed to see that this issue had apparently been reported before and still had not been addressed. Overall, this hotel has a lot of potential and some genuinely lovely features, but the security concerns and lack of attention to certain maintenance details took away from what could otherwise have been a wonderful stay.

Don't expect any communication with the staff. The front desk wasn't staffed during any of the five days we stayed at any time. Messages via the Expedia app were ignored. Daily room service is not available. The hotel does not have a coffee shop/cafe, dry cleaning/laundry services, Concierge services nor a restaurant as advertised. Website says the checkin time is 3PM; however a same day email note says 4PM. The washer and dryer were both broken and unusable. The shower faucet handle fell off multiple times. The bathroom fan was broken. The location in the neighborhood was excellent.

Seamless check in at this spacious property in a hip section of Montreal. It was like being in French speaking Brooklyn.
