There was a burned out car In front of the hotel, and trash strewn, all about. They charged me a $100 deposit for the room. They did not return it to me when I checked out. I still have not received the money back in my account. I would say that this hotel is one step above.The type that rents rooms by the hour. I was supposed to be totally in a non-smoking room. It definitely was not a non-smoking room. The front desk staff was nice, but when I walk down the hall to use the vending machine to buy a small bottle of water that was almost $3\. And the machine ate my money. I went downstairs to talk to the person at the front desk. They did not offer to give me my money back. They did not do anything but point across the lobby to another vending machine, which cost almost four dollars for a small bottle of water. So I ended up spending almost seven dollars for a small bottle of water. There was black mold in the ceiling of the shower in room 504\. My sinuses are still congested and lungs are still coughing from being in a smoker's room. I hope I do not get aspergellosis of the lung. At one point during the weekend, we went in the elevator to go up to our room and there was literally a partially eaten whole tomato in the corner of the elevator. I must say that we traveled in the same elevator shortly thereafter, and the staff must have removed the partially eaten tomato really?" The hotel was nice and clean. It felt safer then the other hotels just down the road. We ended up having to add another night that we couldn't have in the same reservation, so we got a single bed room. Sadly, the room smelt of cigarettes, but we knew it would be fine as it was for one night before we moved to a two bed room. We also were very tired from the drive and moving our luggage .We ended up checking in early to our other room. Sadly, the hotel only has two luggage carts, but both were taken, so we had to have one person stay in the room while the other had to make three trips to move our stuff to the other room, as our room key had stopped working. This is all happenstance, not anyone's fault. Once we got into the two bed room, things went much smoother." Carpets need cleaning tubs need replacing where enamel has been resurfaced and the resurfacing has reached its limit. There aren’t nearly enough places to charge your accessories and none next to your bed. The garage at the hotel charges more overnight than the parking garage across the street something is wrong with that fact. It’s just such a great location and it could be such a great hotel. But it takes money to make money. And I’m not sure ownership is ready for that kind of commitment to its customers.
