"Inside the room was clean with ac and water bottles. But the door and the Frame itself wasn’t the most updated. Location was okay with quick walk to the bus route to the airport and main bus station. The breakfast was poor, I noticed the server bringing other plates of food look better than the plate I was given, mine had old brown apple slices and stale brown bread. Maybe the kitchen staff treated me less because I was a person of colour, probably. Front desk was ok and answered my questions. "

"1.They do not have a hair dryer and electric kettle. At hotel reservation app, they posted they have those. 2.Restroom and shower in the room is small. If the guests are large, they can be stuck between shower and toilet bowl. 3.Restroom and shower is clean but beddings are so-so. 4.Furnitures are broken and very uncomfortable. I do not know why they put them there. 5.There's no air-conditioner in the room and in the shower/toilet. You might have to open the toilet door to make it dry."

"We loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and assist us. The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. There is a nice park across the street and it’s a short walk to many great sights. "

"The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! It’s a very good hotel. "
