"The property was at the end of a long, bumpy road which felt a little less convenient but still in a good area with easy access to town. We were a little confused about where the door to the Vrbo was but figured it out pretty easily. The Vrbo had plenty of space and luxuries to accommodate guests. We really liked the reclining couch in the living room and how private our stay felt despite the owner living in the main house. The only thing of note is probably the ants, we had our suitcases open on top of a dresser and by the last day there were more than a few ants inside them even though there was no food left out. Overall, a solid Vrbo to explore the Southern part of the island! "

"I absolutely loved everything about this property from check in to check out! The two beautiful women at the front desk were friendly, helpful and super nice and wonderful personalities!! "The property and was very well maintained , sharing a bathroom with 4 people was challenging at times, the kitchen was excellent , the tv access to many channels was great, the only negative was the location was a bit far out of town from Kalua , the frogs at night were loud and like all of Hawaii the roosters wake you up at 5:30 every morning . very nice farm like property "

"Our stay was wonderful and quite. The ohana property is now solar, so that was important to us and happy he decided to commit to sustainability of Hawaii's resources. We missed out on the whirlpool open, which was one of the reasons for our stay, but priced reasonably for our needs and still very pleased. "

"Loved it for our family. Close to black sand beach. Great country setting in between everything. It was exactly what we wanted.One suggestion is to get groceries as soon as you get your rental car as it can be a bit of a drive that you likely don’t want to do right away but if that’s the only complaint then everyone that stays there is winning!"

"The room was clean and it is basically like a big tent. It was raining and windy the two nights we were there and it was really loud with the sound of rain hitting the cover and material flapping in the wind. Everything inside felt damp including the sofa. The yurts are built on a rural residential area and there is nothing within walking distance. There is a very very distant view of the ocean if you stand on the property in the right spot. There is no running water inside the Yurt. It has a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster and cooking utensils but no sink. The bathroom and shower is in a separate building a short walk away. The drive from the Yurt to the Volcano National park is an hour and 10 mins away. The advertisement says it is an 8 min drive. The internet wasn't working but it was not a big deal and we purchased a roaming package instead. We are used to camping and roughing it a bit but this yurt fell short of our expectations. "

"We spent the week with our school group and had an amazing time. The property was immaculate and well-provisioned. There was a variety of activities to keep the kids entertained. We will definitely be returning again soon!"
