Our home is a brand new construction built in 2018 in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Although, we are not located in town, we are just minutes away by car or bike! Access to beautiful trails, for hiking and cross country skiing, that lead to Shoup Bay and Mineral Creek. Our home is about a mile from the shoreline but nestled closely to the mountainside. The three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms are fully stocked with linens, bedding, toiletries and laundry care. In addition to three queen sized beds, we have two pull out couches for extra sleeping accommodations in the living room and den. We also have cots for extra sleeping arrangements if necessary. In the garage we have a weight machine if you do not want to miss a workout away from home, plus a basketball game for the kids to enjoy! All brand new furniture for our new home, as well as playpen and high chair for the littles tagging along! Owner lives in the neighborhood and will be available if needed, however, will let you have a comfortable stay in privacy. This home is great for families, business travelers, groups, and even couples. The property was on a quite dead end street where we enjoyed the quiet and seclusion but were just minutes from all the amazing things Valdez has to offer. Home was very clean and fully stocked kitchen for sharing family meals. Getting to harbor, grocery stores, parks, water all just minutes away. If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again. Plenty of space to spread out and a well-appointed kitchen for home cooking. We walked Mineral Creek to the ocean and watched fish spawning and even spied a black bear and her cub up high in a tree. We are from Florida and enjoyed our stay in Valdez very much. Beds are comfortable. View of the waterfalls cascading down the mountains from the windows is like a dream. Home is very close to amazing trails where we saw salmon coming up the river. I would just recommend getting more glasses. We had our niece who lives in Valdez being her own glasses when we had them over for dinner. Would recommend this place for sure. ##### Teresa B. This was our favorite place we stayed and Valdez was our favorite destination. We had one minor issue with the property and the owner sent someone by to help address it very quickly.
