"Excellent historic hotel in a picturesque location right on the lake. From a view standpoint, splurging for the lake-view room is worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the area is beautiful and walkable. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Huge bonus, right across the street from the train station. I have a couple of complaints and I have these same complaints with every one of these older, historic hotels. They seem to be lacking in soundproofing and transfer noise from adjacent or above rooms. Second, every balcony hotel in Europe seems to allow smoking. This is unfair to those of us who don't smoke. I don't want to smell or hear people in the adjoining rooms. I also DO want to enjoy my balcony. I'm sure there's some sort of a calculation and because most Europeans smoke, they allow it. I have yet to be at a balcony hotel that didn't allow smoking and it's annoying. Can't even open the windows if the balcony next to you or below you is smoking. It just comes right in the room. Completely unfair."

"This property was a nice surprise, right across the street from the Geneva train station. Guest rooms are tiny but efficient and clean. Didn’t have the breakfast. I would stay here again. "

"Great location, walkable from the train. Very nice check in staff. We had to take a twin room and the beds were not great, they are lower at the head of the bed than at the foot. They don’t have any extra pillows in the whole hotel. It was great to have a nice size shower and a portable fan for the bedroom area. "

"So, this is a no-frills hotel in a great location. The rooms are really small and the layout is a bit inconvenient with the orientation of the bed causing one person to crawl over the other in order to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The hotel is run by a bunch of twenty-somethings, but they did an excellent job and were really helpful. Outside of the small room, our stay was quiet and comfortable. You will hear the trams as the street adjacent is the tramway, but they didn't bother me. Otherwise, the hotel is in a great location in the old town. The lake view rooms are not worth paying-up for as the lake is too far away for a view. Breakfast is good, but ridiculously expensive with no cook to order. All considered, I probably wouldn't stay there again because of the size of the rooms, but that's the only real drawback."

"Amazing view from my panoramic room. Nice balcony. Good room size. Bathroom a bit small but fine. Free mini bar and a bottle of wine in the room a nice touch. Good restaurant. Convenient for main sights in Montreux. Really enjoyed my stay."
