Coast Burbank Hotel

"I reserved a room for my mother for one night while she was in town. She said that overall, the hotel was lovely. However there were several things that were not. When she arrived around 8:30pm, there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign with a number to call, which she did, and the person asked her which hotel she was calling from, so they probably manage more than one hotel. She had to wait for about 5 minutes until someone came out, but then checked in quickly. She had to call me because they required my credit card again for the $200 deposit and a $25 parking fee. Her room was nice, but there was a large stain on the carpet, the freezer was frosted over so she could not fit things in it, and the curtain rod was not attached to the curtain so she couldn't move it. She did appreciate the blackout curtains, which worked well. The mattress topper was two smaller ones pushed together on a queen sized bed, so she had to sleep on the seam between them. She did not realize she would be charged for the water bottles in the room and used several of them. She said the elevator carpet was stained and dirty, but that the rest of the hotel looked clean with a gorgeous chandelier in the lobby and silk flowers around as decor. With a bit more effort to fix the negative points, this hotel would be worth the price, as it does have potential."

"The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and professional. The place was absolutely spotless. The had odd, short hours for the eating hours, which I might have expected in a more rural setting, but not in Hollywood, CA on a Friday night."

"Negatives: The window AC struggled to keep up with the unseasonably hot temperatures. The bathroom was extremely small; it would benefit from a hook on the door. It would also be nice to have an additional chair in the room and it was roomy enough to accommodate one. Positives: the building has been well maintained in almost original condition. The bathroom was tiny but was clean and the shower was good other than a bad mixer; the water went hot and cold. The biggest advantage is the location. It is centrally located within easy reach of many neighborhoods and the only hotel in the area. The building is aesthetically very pleasing and representative of other architecture in the area. In conclusion: I was very satisfied with my 5 day stay and would definitely stay there again."

"Great location for groceries, pharmacy, coffee shop, restaurants, and less than a mile to the freeway. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood in Studio City. My family & I planned to visit Universal Studios, so it was a quick drive (under 15min). It was nice stay with my parents and 2 kiddos, so having a spacious living space and blow up mattresses was very convenient. It was great to have our vehicle in a designated spot versus parking on the street.My suggestions, which are somewhat similar to other reviewers, were sent directly to the host."
