"We were disappointed in the front desk staff and the valet staff. After our first night (at 9:00 am) we asked for fresh towels (spilled coffee) and another roll of toilet paper (only provided 1 and we were already out). They said it would be brought to us shortly. We left and came back about 2:00 pm. No towels...no toilet paper. Called front desk and they brought it. Later that day we were trying to rest in our room but they started sawing with a very loud saw next door to us. I know sometimes maintenance must be done but I guess it was just poor timing. When we were checking out I requested my car. Even got a message back saying the staff was hurrying to get it. We went outside and sate on the bench and waited. Valet staff never came over to see if we need assistance...they did not say anything to us at all. Finally after 20 minutes my husband walked over and asked about our car...they stated they did not know we needed it even thought we got the automated message that they were already getting it. Mind you it was not busy it was 7:00 am. They brought the car around and we left. We decided then that was our last stay at the Menger."

"Very convenient location. Just a few steps around the corner and you're at the downtown horseshoe bend area of the river. There is a city parking lot next door if you don't want to do the hotel valet. The view from the riverview room was a bit limited. You really have to get around the corner to get to the more scenic area. The restaurant downstairs was nice and more reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area."

"Got charged for parking when I didn’t use their parking lot. Went to hotel to dispute because I was getting the run around on the phone. Spoke to front desk person who said valet put in a charge for my room. Told me I needed to talk to valet which i did and they didn’t have a ticket # for my room on that night. So they said it would be refunded in 5-10 business days but I haven’t received my refund yet I stayed there on the 7th of march."

"Great room - very large and clean. Kitchen had a dishes and tools we could use. Comfortable beds. Great location, 5min walk to Alamo area. Good service by front desk. Onsite parking was fine at $35/daily with in and out privelages, just make sure you don't drive a large pickup bc it is very tight especially driving up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. Breakfast was fine. Same scrambled eggs, sausage hashbrowns, cereal, yogurt coffee, oatmeal options everyday. Only issue is the bathtub and sink were slow to drain, and we were not able to connect to the front desk from our in-room telephone. However pros more than outweighed the cons, and we would prob stay here again for future travel back to San Antonio."

"This is probably the best Drury Inn I've stayed at. Great location on Riverwalk and very walkable area. Breakfast was very good and staff was very helpful and friendly."

"The room was very small, but that was OK. The walk in shower was nice with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. But it was the worst hotel bed we've ever experienced and the pillows were awful! The mattress was very hard, and it slumped in the middle. The pillows were lumpy and useless - so bad that we went and bought pillows! The sheets wouldn't stay on the bed. Not sure I will choose to stay at a Hampton again."
