"I usually stay at the Menger but wanted to see what the Crockett was like. I very much liked the room and the proximity to the Alamo. Most of the staff were lovely. The front desk is lacking in staff and our initial check-in was less than friendly. I also would like other travelers to be aware of the late, 4:00, check-in. Our room was not available until nearly that time. I felt like much of my time was wasted as I had to return to receive my room key. The front desk clerk at that time was...

"The bad: Hot tub was not functional and pool was the size of a postage stamp. Parking was valet only for $40/ day. Dresser in the room was broken. All 3 drawers were broken and not functional. Room was dated looking and beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Breakfast was not good in any regards.The good: all staff we interacted with were polite, helpful, and pleasant. A/c in the room worked great! Room was spacious and we loved the full kitchen! Shower was hot and had great pressure! "

"Historic place with great balcony’s! The balcony does not overlook the river, couple blocks to food. Parking was $15/day because they had Christmas lights lowly hanging over the entry of on site parking. "

"Parking situation is critical, but should not add huge costs. 30 USD per night is more than expensive. Especially for guests!!"
