The location is great! Close to the beach and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and clean.
The hotel did not have beach chairs for us to borrow, however, we were given "beach" towels.
The rugs looked dated and dirty. We up-grated to a larger room (efficiency) because the single room was very small. Make sure you ask for a lower floor if you can't do stairs.
We stayed in a two bedroom for three days in September. The office staff and housekeeping were very friendly and accommodating. They are located on a peaceful side street very close to beach access. They provided free use of beach chairs and umbrellas that you can take to the beach with you, as well as beach towels. The rooms were modern, everything in working condition and very clean. I hope to return in the future.
The hotel is within walking distance to the heart of the village as well as the beach. The hotel was clean, offers use of two beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. Hotel staff very friendly and knowledgeable about area, activities etc. Would stay again in a heart beat! Beautiful grounds with tropical plants, pools etc

We stayed in the beach side suite for 3 night's and moved to the condos in town for the final 5 night's. The beach side suite was close to the beach but the AC did not work very well. The condos in town were great. They are close to all the shops and restaurants on Ocean Blvd. I really liked the dishwasher and close washer and dryer. We had a nice pool right off our front porch with a gas grill. I will come back and rent the town condo next year. Everyone had a great time and the staff was great.
"Within easy walking distance of the Gulf Beach. "
Our room with a single Queen bed had a problem with the A/C, but the Hotel Staff were quick to move us to another room with two Queen bed and a full kitchen. Staff were extremely helpful, we were able to park and go walk the beach until our room was ready for check in. There are places to eat and drink within walking distance. There are also three free cab companies that work for tips, that will bring you to Siesta Key Main Street shops and restaurants. Over all we had a great visit, and would highly commend the Captiva Beach Resort.

Currently being renovated cottage by cottage, the management couldn't be any more accommodating and helpful. The location is safe and a 5 minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. The accommodations are not plush but I don't like plush. I like homey. Very nice pool and all facilities are well kept and convenient. While feeling secluded on a rarely travelled road (no outlet), you are a short walk from shopping- restaurants, great little grocery store, post office, drug store, etc.
Siesta Beach, on the barrier island of Siesta Key, was named the “Best Sand Beach in America 2004” by the Travel Channel. It is consistently rated among the top ten beaches in Florida, the U.S., and the world.
