"Very nice lower level cottage with a very short walk across the yard to the waters edge. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats pull in their catch every morning while we drank our coffee. The cottage is in a nice quiet area away from all the craziness of the natural park and Bar Harbor. About 25 minutes to bar harbor and the main park entrance. Kathleen was very responsive to any questions we had. The cottage had everything we needed. It is perfect for 2 but might be tight for a party of 3 or more."

"Very lovely spot to stay a few days to explore the island. The cottage was clean and everything was convenient. Since you have to bring all your food and drink its location was perfect. Overlooking the harbor was the best part of our stay. Will definitely plan to return."

"We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Driftwood cottage! It worked perfectly for our large family. The house is very thoughtfully stocked so a family with kids (or pets) could stay comfortably for a week- a pack and play, kid potty seat, step stools, kids dish ware, and even has a swing set! The toys, art supplies, and Maine-themed children’s books went a long way too. Cooking accessories and pantry stock items, laundry supplies, and coffee were also provided. We loved the large flat grassy yard and the option to use the fire pit and the large front deck for dinners and morning coffee. The house slept 7 of us comfortably and was beautifully decorated with a nautical theme. The location in Bass Harbor was lovely- close enough to the ocean to hear the channel markers ring gently but also private and rustic enough to relax and rest. The drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia took about 35 mins, but was incredibly pleasant- crossing through quaint local towns and harbors on the way with local restaurants and shops, plus gorgeous views. The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind. The price was incredibly reasonable for all the resources, especially for a large family during peak tourism season. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Gorgeous cabin/tiny home in beautiful setting with great information, games and vending plus free laundry. Walk to restaurant and Bass Harbor lighthouse. Assortment of tasty and healthy breakfast options. Host spent considerable time sharing recommendations in area and Acadia with handwritten notes and suggestions. Firepit was perfect evening relaxation. Would definitely book again!"

"We really enjoyed staying on the quiet side of the island in this home. The kids loved playing outside, the house was fully stocked as a home would be, and we had plenty of room to spread out. We did have a hard time finding it in the dark when we were unexpectedly delayed in our travels (GPS took us down the lane right before the house, we had poor reception and had to drive around for a bit before figuring things out) so more specific directions would be helpful for this unfamiliar with the area. But we had a wonderful week enjoying the beauty of the Island!"
