Perfect location if you’re visiting Acadia. Staff was insanely nice as well as accommodating. Also, really neat and clean place all around.

  • Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service

Staff was great. They took special care for cleanliness including Clorox wipes in workout/pool table room. I loved the tasteful nautical themed decor and that they offered a black makeup facecloth. The room names/plates were cut outs of the island and names of local places. Just adorable. Lots of sweet details all around. Breakfast was fresh and clean. Would definitely stay there again and again!

  • Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities

What did we like? It was open. Not many open this time of year in Bar Harbor or MDI. What did we not like? The Inn is an institution on the Island. No really, it felt like an institution. Despite efforts to be local (octapi everywhere as fixtures). But the place looked, felt and smelled generic, institutional. Big cold rooms, thin walls, buffet breakfast that looked and smelled barely edible. Everything on the cheap. Too bad, the Island deserves better.
