Inn on the Harbor

"Great location in a quaint inn on the water. Know the quaintness includes wide colonial floor boards that have shaped with the building as it has settled over the decades. The building and those around the village are reflection of days-gone-by. Restaurants are a little sparce on Monday's and Tuesdays after Labor Day. Make reservations before arrival or plan to bring something for dinner on the deck. The grill on the deck is an option too. The staff was attentive and room spotless but bring your own tissues."

"We were looking for a quiet/private, comfortable, picturesque place on the 'Quietside' (west side) of the island and this cottage is it. The cottage is well maintained, clean, and warm with propane stove/heater. Who doesn't like water views from the kitchen to start the day making coffee. Also, a great path from the yard to get you right next to the water to enjoy your coffee or happy hour beverages. Good stargazing from the deck too. While quiet, it isn't backwoods. Very close to Southwest Harbor, ferry rides to other islands, and excellent restaurants within a couple miles. Outstanding hiking trails (e.g. Ship Harbor, Wonderland) are very close too."

"Paul’s Cottage was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, with plenty of pots, pans, cookware, and every amenity we needed to prepare wonderful meals entirely from scratch.Our evenings were especially memorable. The supply of dry firewood made it easy to enjoy cozy fires while relaxing with a good book. The internet was fast and reliable, making it perfect for unwinding with Netflix, Apple TV, or Disney after a day of exploring.The setting is truly spectacular. We enjoyed stunning sunsets over the water, and the cottage is far enough from the brighter areas that the stars completely lit up the night sky. It was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly the kind of place where you can slow down and appreciate your surroundings.The location was also incredibly convenient. We were close to several local favorites and only a short drive from many of Acadia National Park’s trailheads. Bar Harbor Airport was easy to reach, with rental cars available through Hertz and Enterprise, making arrival and departure remarkably simple.Paul’s Cottage is an ideal choice for either a romantic getaway or a memorable family adventure. It offers the perfect combination of comfort, natural beauty, convenience, and authentic Maine charm. We could not have asked for a better home base for enjoying everything this remarkable part of Maine has to offer. Definitely recommend booking this amazing property!"

"Close to Acadia National Park. Host lives nearby and was quickly responsive to any issues. Allowed slightly early check in. In a nice quiet area and worked well for our visit. Would definitely use again."

"Very nice property that hosted 5 of us very comfortably. The host is great with communication and has clear instructions for check in / check out. The yard is great with plenty of firewood to keep a great campfire and stare at the wonderful starry sky. Close to nearby towns and the national park. Highly recommend!"

"Amazing cabin in a great location! The pictures do not do it justice-looked even better in person. The host even drove us down to the lighthouse to make the sunset when we were crunched on time. Would definitely stay here again!!"
