Warm white sand beaches wrap around this tiny island paradise, perfect for swimming and beachcombing at low tide. Rent a bike to explore the entire island in a day, stopping at Mermaid Beach for picnics and sunset views.
Room 210 - highly recommend it.The large covered deck which was a perfectly relaxing location after a beautiful trip up the coastline for enjoying the sunset and all the boating activities around the docks. The room was nicely decorated and super clean.
The pub/restaurant for dinner was top notch as well.
We didn't participate in the continental breakfast, rather opting for a cinnamon bun at Nancy's before we headed for home.

The room and bathroom were modern, exceptionally clean and enjoyable spaces. The room was smaller than some king size rooms we have stayed at but very efficiently laid out and we thoroughly enjoyed the large screen TV, coffee and tea, mini fridge and little sitting area , the location was great with shops and restaurants to walk to. We would love to stay again.

No complaints about the property. However, guests are directed to enter the property via Riverside Lane, which is currently a construction site. I heard some "clanging" noise as we drove along the lane and thought nothing more of it. We had a flat tire the morning, thanks to a construction nail, later discovered by the attendant at the tire repair shop.

The best areas to stay on Savary Island are generally along the south side, particularly near South Beach and Sutherland Beach, for their accessibility and much-loved beaches.
South Beach is the most developed area on the island. It's where you'll find the general store, a small cafe, and the main public dock for water taxis. The beach itself is known for its long stretches of sand, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Accommodation here ranges from holiday rentals to a few guesthouses, offering convenient access to essentials.
For families, Sutherland Beach is an excellent choice. It's a bit quieter than South Beach but still offers beautiful sandy shores and generally calmer waters, great for children to play in. Many beach houses in this area are set up for larger groups, often with direct beach access and plenty of space for outdoor activities. The tidal pools here are also a big hit with younger visitors.
Couples looking for a more secluded experience might prefer properties further west along the south shore, towards the area of Mace Point. While still offering stunning beach access, these spots tend to be more private and offer a peaceful retreat, often with breathtaking sunset views over the ocean.

This period offers the most reliable conditions for enjoying the island's outdoor activities, such as swimming in the warm ocean waters, sunbathing on the sandy beaches, and exploring the numerous walking trails. The days are long, and the chances of rain are minimal, making it ideal for a relaxed beach holiday.
Families often find this time of year great for a trip. The shallow, warm waters around the island are excellent for children to play in, and there are plenty of opportunities for building sandcastles, beachcombing, and enjoying picnics by the sea. Many of the island's seasonal businesses and amenities, like cafes and general stores, are fully operational during these months.
Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will also appreciate the summer. The long daylight hours allow for romantic sunset strolls along the extensive beaches, and the calm evenings are great for stargazing.
