Upon arrival at 6pm (tall man) was very welcoming, he told us of a restaurant he recommend and we proceeded and ate dinner. After we ate my preteen had to use the restroom at 8pm. We went to the room for a few minutes to use restroom then walked out of room, as my preteen was holding on the rail she slipped and fell down the stairs. After the incident we went to manager (heavy set older Hispanic man) to tell him what occurred and if I could possibly change rooms downstairs due to my child not being able to use stairs anymore. He said, " you need to pay for a cleaning fee." I asked if any accommodations could be done? Then he went on to say, "we've been in this hotel for many years and this has never happened, this is the first time this has happened and maybe if someone was taking care of your child they would have not fallen, I can not offer anything else unless you pay the cleaning fee." Why would this man raise his voice and assume no one was watching my child? Why couldn't he offer to call an ambulance or check on my child or bring an ice pack or make a report? I immediately checked out and asked for a refund and of course they denied it and said since I went inside the room and checked in for 2 hours I was charged the whole night. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone! Aside of the incident the room did not smell clean, all the windows were opened and rust on doors.
