⭐⭐☆☆☆ The only strong point of TownePlace Suites near Cal Expo is the convenient location. Unfortunately, the property feels outdated and my room (3108) was messy. The shower backsplash was cracked, the toilet paper holder misaligned, and the carpet worn. I emailed photos to the front desk manager, Alison, as requested, but never received a response. There was also a false fire alarm one night. Overall, there is significant room for improvement in both maintenance and customer service.

The room was super nice and clean. The staff was very attentive and kind. The only bad thing was that they told us that we have 24 hour room service, so we called in the morning at 10 am and they never answered. We complained at the lobby and they gave us credit to order something, but still was a little annoying, we call like 5 times and waited an hour to get the call back and nothing.

It’s an older hotel but very well maintained the rooms are large and plenty of space. If you’re not too sensitive to the older decor and style you will be happy for the price. The staff are very, very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. Very nice location just off the highway.

Cozy room, friendly and helpful staff. Be aware that if you're sound sensitive, maybe don't pick the river view side of the boat as there is a family of sea lions that love to chat 20 hours of the day.
