Weird experience as this is NOT a hotel and the whole set up gave us a suspicious feeling. I will say that location is excellent if you want to be around a million tourists but close to major attractions; however be aware that signage for the establishment is not obvious as it is tucked away between restaurants. You will then have to buzz in to be admitted. As another reviewer stated, it is more like a BNB as it is run by a couple. They do provide a free minibar which is nice. Check in faulty as we were given a room that we had not booked but they remedied that very quickly and gracefully. They blamed on Expedia.
Air conditioning did not work and water pressure negligible. When we called to the desk at ten o’clock pm, no one answered. We walked down and discovered the office area closed and locked up. Pretty disconcerting.
We also suspected that someone had been through our belongings as things were misplaced that we knew should have been in specific areas.
We discovered after checking out and reading through other reviews that others had experienced petty theft. We also had to reschedule our taxi pick up because of a flight delay. We tried calling to the front office several times beginning at 5am and finally sent an email. The lady said that they were asleep so didn’t see it. Like….what?!
Recommendation: do your homework and stay away from this place. Something definitely “off” here.
