"This villa is truly a hidden gem. I loved the experience and had a great time. Firstly, I have to mention how kind and helpful the staff were because when we arrived they offered my guests some food which tasted amazing. If you are hesitant about this place, don’t be! "All staff were professional, courteous and friendly. They all went out of their way to grant your requests. The ambience is very nice. The electrical outlets on the patio didn't always work. Had to be creative in getting plugs to stay in. They also need to upgrade from 110v to 220v. Just kidding, but they should have something for travelers from Europe. Internet service was pretty good. "I stayed here with my family of 4. The view was amazing and the pool was nice. Condo is recommended if you are staying or playing new Ocho Rios. Meal options close by are limited but I recommend the little bar across the street. We received a meal that was rancid and soda that was flat at the Italian spot, they didn’t charge for the rancid meal but I would not go back after the experience."

"It’s a beautiful and a small resort with excellent service. Our butlers Robert and Anthony were fantastic. The hotel management Omar and Sheldon were very helpful. There is a regular shuttle service to other nearby Sandal resorts if you wanted more entertainment or food options. Our only issue was that the bathrooms need modernising. It’s great for golf players too. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. "

"On arrival I was initially a bit disappointed as the hotel looked 'old style'. We live in Jamaica and have stayed at many 4* hotels. Unfortunately, our perennial experience and complaint is poor customer service. However this is not the case at Jewel which from arrival at reception and throughout, we were very impressed with the courteous and helpful staff, quality of the food which was presented well and hot food served hot. The Jewel Hotel stood out as excellent for customer service. Our rooms were very clean and stocked each day. The grounds of the hotel were lovely with various places to sit quietly. The entertainment was good particularly on our first night (knife throwing/fire-eater and beach singer). Our stay was part of a treat for our grandson celebrating his birthday. The cake was pricey - but was baked to perfection and presented very well, by staff on the night who added to the special evening. We also took a ride on the glass bottom boat and the captain was good humoured, courteous and informative. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend and visit again. "
