"We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our family vacation. We stayed in a corner unit with panoramic views of the beach and mountains. The view was breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. The condo was clean, well-maintained, and very practical. Having a washer, dryer, dishwasher, and a detachable handheld shower head was especially convenient when traveling with small children. We felt safe throughout our stay, and the beach was beautiful. On our last night, we even saw sea turtles swimming right near the shore, which was an unforgettable experience. A few things could be improved. We were unable to communicate with the property through Expedia before arrival and never received check-in instructions. Fortunately, we speak English and have a U.S. phone number, so we were able to contact security for assistance. This could be difficult for international travelers. We were also informed about additional fees at check-out that were not disclosed in the Expedia listing, which was disappointing. Finally, the washer was extremely noisy and sounded like an airplane taking off. Despite these issues, our overall experience was fantastic. The location, views, comfort, and beach were outstanding. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again."

"We loved our stay at the Hawaiian Princess -- we were looking for a beach condo off the beaten path, and found it in Makaha! The location cannot be beat if you are looking for something away from tourists, with direct access to the beach, and absolutely beautiful views. The corner lanai of this unit was private, and felt upscale. A similar corner unit at a hotel in Waikiki would have cost us more than double for the same timeframe. We purposefully only stayed a few nights so we could explore the other side of the island for the other part of our trip, but looking back we decided we could have easily stayed the whole time, and just planned travel time to other parts of the island. The extra travel time is worth the beautiful location. If you aren't comfortable eating from the local small businesses or fast food, plan to have to drive back towards the resort areas for meals you want to eat out. If you struggle to sleep "warm" in the tropics, you can close off the bedroom and run the AC, and we slept very comfortably. Makaha is near the end of the road, and there is a lot of "local" vibe. Some of it, like the homelessness, is hard to see -- but honestly, for us it was a reminder to respect the space we were sharing, and learn about the hardships happening to people in Hawaii. We took time to learn about, not just judge, our surroundings. If you're going to judge, stay in Waikiki or the resort areas. We'd go back again, 100%!"

"Just do it. If I could give this 10 stars and two thumbs up- I would. We traveled all around the island and landed here last- I wish we stayed here the whole time. It is the most excellent spot with the most beautiful views. The unit, the complex and the beach were all immaculately clean. The security staff was absolutely amazing- friendly and warm hearted. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming. My favorite part was sleeping with the doors open and waking up to the waves crashing on the beach. Perfect spot for a romantic getaway. Host was responsive and friendly. Definitely recommend, cannot say enough good things about this spot. We will be back!!!!"

"Where can I start? I was immediately blown away by the view from the balcony. The ocean and Mountain Views were breathtaking. This place had everything you could ask for and more. I 1000% recommend this to anyone looking for a place to enjoy the ocean, the waves, and the calm and peaceful atmosphere. It was a blessing to have been able to make memories with my family here. The convenience of having your own private entrance to the condo and the beach were great! We did not lack anything! I look forward to staying here in the future."

"As usual the Hawaiian Princess property really can’t be beat for the beauty and privacy of the beach. It really shows you’re in paradise. We saw many turtles and seals this time- ocean was particularly rough several days. A little disappointed in the unit though, it wasn’t really well stocked, in the past other units had things like cooking spray and basics like that, TV for down time wasn’t truly “Smart”, apps didn’t work on it, the bathroom, kitchen and as a whole wasn’t as clean as we’d hope- a few dead bugs in places too. Had to buy more TP, three supplied rolls for 8 days for women just not enough…also bought more paper towels, no napkins or Kleenex in unit either. It had a remodel in the kitchen but a bit worn down, all electrical plugs didn’t work either by the pull out couch where someone slept. Only one deadbolt lock, even though it’s a gated community , an added knob lock or something would help single travelers feel a bit more secure. This property visit unfortunately we also had someone smoking on their lanais every single morning and day which made us not get to enjoy being out on this one- contacted property management each day- but they said they were unable to stop it without seeing who was doing it- It is a nice unit- it was fine- but a few things could make it better. Owner was responsive during the booking which was helpful- had accepted our early check in request which was great."
