"The place was neat and tidy and well kept. The room we were in was good size, bed was comfortable and very clear. We particularly liked its location - it was easy to walk down to the beach and also to drive into town either Pacific Grove or Monterey. Would stay there again"

"This is a historic hotel that maintains that same vibe. It has many very nice updates and our room was very spacious. They staff were always available and greeted is each time we walked by. We lived the hotel and the walkability of the area. Be sure to be there on a Tuesday night for the farmer's market. So many wonderful things to see and do, or just show down and relax for a while. "

"I’ve stayed here several times over the years. It had been a long time and the rooms are showing their age. Still, it was a pleasant stay and I’ll probably continue to go back for the value (weeknight, low season). The front office staff was great both for check in and check out. Suggestion to the desk was to have a QR code so people can leave a tip for housekeeping. Carrying cash is just not as common these days."

"For the location and price , its a bargain. I usually stay here every time I visit Monterey. Its right across the street from Lover's Point Park and a really nice restaurant. "
