"Like the cafe/bar in the basement. The 2 buildings across the street from each other makes it a bit inconvenient, for instance, to get to the kitchen from hostel room if they are located in different buildings. Otherwise, clean, nice, comfortable."

"This hostel beats any hotel/ hostel I’ve stayed it. It is well worth the value. Lockers are spacious, staff is friendly and hard working, the amenities like breakfast, towels, slippers and laundry are a great touch. beds are spacious and comfy and I like that there was a designated smoking area on the premises. The only thing is the internet is a bit wonky but overall amazing stay! "

"Good wifi. It's pretty convenient to train and bus lines (the 28 City bus picks up across the street and the Hankyu train line is around the corner) and it's about 10 minutes from the bridge. Note: the breakfast is served at a cafe around the corner, but only from 9-11, so you may need to schedule your day accordingly (or don't sign up for breakfast and plan on eating elsewhere). "The best capsule hotel I've stayed at.Cozy and private, nice staff, comfortable temperature and good showers. Easy luggage storage before and after stay. Excellent location for being nearby a lot of food and fun, but off a small street so it is not loud and is very peaceful. I would stay here again and recommend highly. "I was so pleased with Hostel Mundo! It has the style of a traditional Japanese home, with all the comforts that come along with that. That means snug rooms with sleeping cushions on tatami mat floors, a warm home-like environment in the common quarters, and a welcoming staff that is knowledgeable about the surrounding area of Kyoto.
