"Oceanfront Lodge Crescent City, California June 4, 2024 – June 5, 2024 This place gets a lot of negative comments in reviews, but we absolutely LOVED it. Every room has a stunning ocean view. There are paths right down to the water as it crashes the shore. The views are breathtaking. Sure, it’s an old funky hotel, but we had a great time there. The restaurant was great. When you walk in, you’re confronted with an amazing ocean view. Don’t miss the bread pudding. My wife hates bread pudding, but she decided to walk on the wild side and try a bite… she loved it!!! Now we’re searching everywhere for good bread pudding. If we’re ever back in northern California, we will be sure to return to the Oceanfront Lodge. Checkin / out: Checking in and out was easy and efficient. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking: No problems with parking. Cleanliness: We were pleased to find a nice clean room. Bed: The bed was very comfortable. Décor: Get ready for a blast from the past. The restaurant and bar are straight out of the 1970’s! Nearby: Well, it might seem redundant to say so, but the Ocean is front and center for this property! Plus, if you have a little extra time, don’t miss Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. It is truly amazing!"

"This establishment is a fun place to stay. You can try your luck on the slots or on the poker tables. Breakfast was delicious and had restaurant has a beautiful view out on the mountains. The rooms had very comfortable beds and provided everything that we needed. I will definitely recommend this place to stay while in town or just passing through. The is a shop to buy a souvenir before you head out."

"We love the view from our balcony overlooking the balcony. The lobby area is comfortable with complementary coffee and tea and our room is clean and well lit. Location is convenient to get to Mendocino and Glass Beach. "

"The Lighthouse Inn is a charming, older hotel that has been well maintained and was very quiet. Our room was large and quite comfortable. The front desk staff was happy to mark area highlights on a map for us. Continental breakfast was well stocked and convenient. Location was good for exploring both south and north to the Redwood National and State Parks and the Oregon scenic coastline."
