The staff at the front desk was very efficient and friendly enough. The parking was limited and there is a spot taken up by a broken down car which has been there so long there is a fern growing out of the tire. The rooms are large but the furniture, decor, and linens are very old. To be fair the hotel is old. I definitely felt every spring in the mattress. The location is convenient to the things that are open. There is a severe lack of staffing pretty much everywhere in town with some places displaying signs asking customers for patience and that they not be rude to staff. I was sad to see that they felt they needed a sign to ask for politeness since it should be a given. Overall, the town in general felt like going to see your normally friendly and welcoming grandma when she had a bad day and had just about enough of everyone’s cr@pola. They appreciate your tourist dollars, but they are tired of the abuse. If you are unable to act civilized; I highly recommend packing a lunch and going to the beach. It is beautiful and is not crowded.
