Quaint hotel in the Financial District

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Lovely, quaint hotel. Very clean and well kept. All subway lines are in a short walking distance, making travel around the city very easy. Toiletries were a wonderful, citrus scent and complimentary continental breakfast was a nice perk. Will definitely stay again!

Clean and quiet!

Posted 14-Aug-2015
Cons: The front desk wasn't very warm or fuzzy , again not a deal breaker. They were helpful when we really needed them.
We loved this hotel! It was very clean, quiet and the room spacious. The free continental breakfast was fine, it really helped to save money each morning! It included the basics such as cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, pastries, fruit and drinks. Our room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. It's close to Battery Park so a good place to stay if you are interested in the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, or the 911 Museum. The free wifi wasn't very good - extremely slow... but that wasn't a deal breaker for us. If we stayed in that area again we would select the The Street Inn again!

Close to a lot of sights we wanted to see.

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: It is quaint, not like the chain hotels. It was very clean and quiet. Outside was quieter than uptown, which we enjoyed.
Cons: There we 3 of us in the room and only 1 glass to use for water or brushing teeth. There was little space to put a makeup bag etc. in the bathroom.
Location: Battery Park, Wall Street, Trinity Church, Ground Zero
The staff were great and the breakfast was exceptional. It was nice to not have to run out to have breakfast and then come back to check out. We were able to use the internet which came in handy.

Wonderful hotel in superb location

Posted 5-Aug-2015
This little hotel is a must for anyone planning a trip to New York. I have just returned after spending 9 nights there and I have nothing but praise for it, I couldn't fault it at all. It's quaint, quiet, in a fabulous location, it's spotless, has a complimentary breakfast, lovely staff, I can highly recommend it, and if I ever visit New York in the future, I'll definitely book to stay again

Great location, serviceable hotel.

Pros: Location and the staff, oh and the waffle maker!
Cons: Rooms could use modernising. Breakfast layout seems an afterthought
Location: South Ferry Terminal, free ferry to Staten Island, Pier 11 ferry to Brooklyn, 10 mins to Battery Park 5 mins Wall st. Lots of food and drink choice
Enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was pleasant, very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It certainly didn't wow, but it served it's purpose well. A problematic A/C was fixed quickly, which was very important when overnight temperatures were in the 80s. I was very pleased with the prompt, no fuss response. That said the a/c was very noisy. I'd recommend not setting it too low and put the fan on low, so when it does click in (and wake you up), it doesn't click off 5 mins later, repeating the process all night. Breakfast was limited but very nice, especially the waffles. The breakfast bar is cramped. The location is fantastic. Less that 10 mins walk to Battery Park and the South Ferry Terminal, as well as the Pier 11 (I think) Terminal to Brooklyn. Similar distance to the Wall St Subway. Located among some great places to eat. We enjoyed The Growler, which is two doors away. We also found Gregory's Coffee which is very close, as is a Pharmacy and a Deli (Hanover Deli I think), so plenty of useful places near by. It's nestled near some of the Financial District's newer buildings, but among some lovely older buildings which house bars and restaurants. It's a great contrast. No issues with noise, the room was well insulated against the outside world. I'd certainly be happy to stay again.

Comodo per la metro e per muoversi a manhattan. Colazione buona ma migliorabile. Camere pulite e comode. Tutto OK.
