Property is in a good location, the rooms are big by NYC standards. As is the norm for NYC hotels there is no tea / coffee facilities in the rooms and complimentary drinks are only available during breakfast hours. The photos are a bit deceiving I thought there was a rooftop bar but this is not the case. The bar is nice and at street level but a little expensive.Overall it’s a nice art deco style hotel in a good location, with many bars and food outlets nearby.

I will not be staying at this establishment again. The fees they charge are ridiculous. There's also no late check-out, without paying extra per 30 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful, but to pay that amount and then have to be charged extra fees...no thank you.

When we checked into the room, none of the lights worked. Couldn’t get the lambs to come on. The climate control was not working the entire time we were there. I did mention this to the front desk and they did fix the light situation but for the entire Stay the climate control was not working. The door to the bathroom would not stay open. The room really needs a renovation.

The hotel and room both not clean enough for this kind of hotel star level. For the money you pay, it’s definitely not great choice and I wouldn’t recommend it. The room is small and the quality of bed pillows bad. Elevators work but they are not clean and look dusty/needs a good wash. Staff are good. Everyone very nice. My only issue is hotel needs good clean up.

Great central location and surprisingly quiet. Let down by lack of tea / coffee making facilities or even bottled water in the room. A loud dripping sound during the night, possibly from leaking air conditioning, meant we had to change rooms the following day; however, this was dealt with quickly and efficiently by reception. The bar staff were friendly and very attentive, on the couple of occasions that we visited the bar. Breakfast service good, apart from the service we received from the more mature French lady who seated us most days. On one occasion, whilst seated at our table, she took the menu my 16 year old daughter had been given and replaced it with a child menu, stating that we hadn’t paid for her to order from the other menu. We weren’t aware that there were different menus, as we had been handed the previous menu by one of her colleagues. The manner in which this was handled was heavy handed and inappropriate. All in all, not the 4 star experience I was hoping for, which is a shame as it could have been, and this was our Silver Wedding trip with our kids.

Very convenient to mid-town, theater district, public library, subway system, 5th and 6th Avenues, Macys/Herald Square and Times Square. Have been staying here for 15 years and aways enjoy easy access to everything in mid-town. Hotel is showing a bit of age and wear but is kept meticulously clean and staffed. Desk is highly responsive to requests and housekeeping staff are always a pleasure to interact with
