The room was clean and very comfortable, towels and wash cloths were old and worn though. The air conditioning worked well and I didn’t have much interaction with staff. Considering the prices of hotels in NY, I really can’t complain at all for what I paid to stay at the Phoenix. I would actually stay there again if needed. My room was next to the street so it was really noisy, especially on the weekend, thank god I can sleep through anything, if you’re looking for absolute quiet this might not be it.

The front desk was enclosed in glass, which made me worry a bit. However, the room itself was spacious and relatively clean, with the exception of some dust around the edges. The walk to the subway was pleasant, at least during the day. I also happened to be on the 6th floor which had a great view of the Manhattan skyline. I thought it was a great value.

Room was clean , property is well maintained, not much parking so alot of driving around as it was always full. My only issue is someone was smoking every night and we could smell it in our room, other than that the stay way good.

The room need more cleaning The bedsheets smell old and dirty, and the towels are old. The staff's Very kind and attentive; excellent service. They don't have much parking—that was a problem; they need more parking. The Air conditioning smell bad Need update and change the filters need screen for the windows the guest can open the windows Housekeeping needs to clean the hallways; the elevators are also very dirty.

ROOMSThe floor need update the The bed sheets smell old and dirty, as do the towels. The Staff Very kind, attentive, very good service PARKING don't have much parking, that was a problem; they need more parking. They don't have enough parking; that's a problem CLEANING.The housekeeping staff needs to clean the hallways and elevator too; they are very dirty.

There’s so much potential for this property to be so much better than it was. Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short due to a family emergency but I was very relieved to not have to stay there any longer than I had originally intended. I didn’t feel safe and there were numerous things in the room I was in that needed to be repaired. I won’t be back but I wish them well.

We needed a place to stay after our flight was cancelled. What a nice surprise. It was easy to get to from the subway (36th street yellow train). It was near a diner and several places to get supplies. We did our laundry at the big place within sight of the hotel. I would stay here again when we visit Brooklyn again. Thanks to the front desk staff for being helpful!

City view rooms or one I had is compact but nice. Pretty clean and easy to maintain/get clean again after room service. The few rooms I saw w the couch are nice space but all seemed to be crazy dusty. The rooms w the yelloeish tile/floor seem to be less dusty. The room w the closet that’s on pics is the “suite” not the upgrade from city view one.

We stayed 3 nights, one night we weren't left any towels and when we asked for some we were told someone would bring them and didn't. Notes say no parking but there is a small lot out back and a sign mentions an underground lot. Staff were very nice and great location for getting the subway into Manhattan and only 20 minute drive to Brooklyn Cruise terminal

Love the variety of foods in the area. 3rd floor hallway was very loud all hours, didnt sleep much. One night even had two adult men in fist fight in hallway making noise at 1:40AM.
