"Great stay"

"Great host who was very helpful in finding sites of interest and good dining recommendations. Just not use to the challenging stair access to the third floor but was ok after a few trips up and down. Not sure why the area around the property is so messy, we had come from Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, Berlin and Prague all of which were pristine in what would be a similar touristy neighbourhood. Maybe the city should review it’s cleaning practices. "

"This is a very unique hotel. It is comprised of several buildings that are connected. It is very clean, comfortable with a staff that goes above and beyond with their service. Breakfast was served in a delightful annex. The host there was fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful regarding areas and museums we wished to tour. The location was perfect, it’s only a few minute walk to the red light district, and it’s right next to a metro and also very close to Amsterdam central station. The room was very clean, and it was kept clean throughout our entire trip. Overall I give this place 5 stars I would recommend the tulip to anyone who is looking to stay in Amsterdam. "

"A genuine old Dutch rowhouse with a few rooms (with baths) up a flight of very steep stairs. Very quaint and comfortable. Convenient to the Anne Frank House, great restaurants and shopping, and a block from the tram that goes to the museum plaza and the central train station, if you don’t feel like walking. Some outside noise if you’re in the front room. Someone will carry your luggage up and down the steep staircase for you, but don’t reserve if you have difficulty walking or climbing. "

"Spent 2 nights here visiting the National Park De Biesbosch. We had amazing October weather and loved walking around the wetlands - so peaceful and lots of wildlife. The hotel was quiet as out of season but the buffet breakfast was good and the set evening meal was lovely. The restaurant is closed during the week but there is a set evening menu for the guests. The staff were lovely and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The rooms are a little dated but very spacious with 2 armchairs and the beds...
