"We had a most enjoyable stay at Breitner House! It was the highlight of this trip to Amsterdam (which is saying quite a lot). Camilla is a charming hostess! She proudly told us the history of the house, and served a sumptuous, delicious, and beautifully appointed full breakfast. (She thoughtfully accommodated our dietary restrictions.) "Eline is a perfect host. She welcomed us early on the day after King’s day. Her place is in a good location to many attractions. The home was very clean with a very comfortable bed and a large modern shower. An additional bonus was the snacks and drinks to take on our outings or enjoy when we ended our day. The location was perfect, it’s only a few minute walk to the red light district, and it’s right next to a metro and also very close to Amsterdam central station. "A genuine old Dutch rowhouse with a few rooms (with baths) up a flight of very steep stairs. Very quaint and comfortable. Convenient to the Anne Frank House, great restaurants and shopping, and a block from the tram that goes to the museum plaza and the central train station, if you don’t feel like walking. Some outside noise if you’re in the front room. Someone will carry your luggage up and down the steep staircase for you, but don’t reserve if you have difficulty walking or climbing. "

"It was enjoyable. The room and the view was exceptional! But the hot water in the bathroom seemed to be limited… cuz it turned cold after around 15 min use of shower. So the other person did take a cold shower. Except for that, everything is great. "

"Room itself was very nice and location was great however, the toll of having to haul our luggage not to mention ourselves up and down 5 flights of stairs took its toll on us and made the trip painful.
