Inside was comfy- the bed and pillow very comfortable. The bunk beds were really nice and comfy for the kids. Everything was clean. Convient and water kettle for tea/coffee with some drink packets and can opened provided. Small fridge that fit more than I expected, and a microwave. Heater and AC inside- we used the heater and it worked well. The campground is set up nicely. The original vintage wood interior and squeaky wood floors added a lot to the ambiance. Plenty of outdoor space for grilling steaks or making campfire s’mores. The grounds are fun and funky with lots of interesting things to see including a pond and creek. The family that runs it is warm and accommodating with a small store that sells drinks and snacks. Lassen Shingletown 7,0/10 Bien (2) « We visited for 4 days and stayed a 5th day so we could get another day of skiing in. We were comfortable, the place was heated, warm, cozy and away from everything which is what we wanted. There’s a store in town (Reeds) where you can grab groceries, Redding is a half hour away, Shasta 1.5 hours. Peace, quiet, Serenity, good for the kids to run around. Plenty of firewood for the old school stove. Beds cozy. Office nearby. Hottub wasn’t overchlorinated which was nice.
