The hotel was lovely, they upgraded our room Upon arrival free of charge. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great too however the restaurant area was really dark. The indoor pool was my favourite part of the hotel however the hamam service was not that great I would recommend to go out of the hotel maybe to a different spa if you are looking for hamam service. The hotel was not too far from malls or the old city markets, also Marrakech’s most popular club 555 is five minute drive away. Was definitely a pleasant stay would recommend to friends and family.

Nice hotel, service needs to be improved
Nice hotel, service could have been better for a five star hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, and the hotel is next to a great mall. Apparently they off a free shuttle service to the airport but when asked about this they said no.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and had the WORST experience. Upon arriving, we were put in the wrong room (standard) when we purchased an executive suite. We paid double for a room for our special week, only to be extremely disappointed. Which is NOT OKAY!! No coffee for coffee maker, and mini bar basically empty. As for management, knowing we had a flight in about 2 hours, the manager held us back from our taxi on our way to the Airport, purposely. We were pulled out to pay “extra tax fees” which was also included within our booking, which the staff then refused our cards purposely with the ONE card machine they have, begging for the cash instead. We had ran through 5 of our cards that were JUST used to purchase food ten minutes prior, meaning it was a machine problem. Management Also tried charging us for drinks we had bought from outside (bottles and Carona’s) when they don’t even sell them within the hotel or minibar! they tried so hard to charge us for every cup they found in our room. We had no choice but to call home to America to find another form of payment. Food is terrible and I got extremely sick, staff is SLOW. You won’t get a waiter or your bill/check unless you ask, no one will approach you at all. Also, If you are a young couple, everything closes before midnight as well. Never will be returning again. I do not recommend if you want the true Moroccan experience or a good hotel experience for the matter. I would not call this a resort.

Nice small hotel but service should improve
The hotel is pretty small which makes it perfect to relax by the pools (there are two). Drinks are food at the bars were really good, however the service wasn't great. They take a very long time to take orders, serve, etc. and often we had to chase them as it felt that they had forgotten our orders.

Cool pool and nice rooms outside of Medina
The hotel outdoor pool is lovely and so are the rooms. Breakfast room could do with some attention and the breakfast was ok. Close to shopping centre and on a main road running out from the Medina about £4 a taxi into and out of the central square. Problems we had included - no key to room as computer system down, alot of locals party here and had us up at 5am when they returned from the clubs as its one of few hotels that service alcohol, door to our bedroom broke and there was no shower just a bath in our first room It is a lovely hotel and we loved marrakech but has a few snagging issues and the partying was a problem as it woke us up a few times.

Clean and amazing hotel
Hotel is amazing! The service is great, whatever we requested was delivered! Couldn't have picked a better hotel. One of ne best hotels I have been too in marrakech so far. Has sky lounge/bar, Resturant, outside pool and spa! Only downfall is breakfast. Isn't so great however food is food. You can get by.

Beautiful and modern hotel, close to the Medina
We stayed for a week at this hotel and our welcome was very warm. We were greeted with a cocktail and shown to our rooms. Some of the staff were not overly friendly and helpful, i.e. not approaching you at breakfast to ask if you would like tea/coffee unless you ask them. Also they didn't ever say what was on the menu for breakfast so you see others having crepes, omelettes etc and then you work out that you can order this! Service is always very very slow but the food is good when it arrives! Many of the staff were very friendly and smiley and spoke great English. You'll do well if you speak some French outside of the hotel for taxis, but pointing to a map will do! There are no irons in the rooms and so you have to ask for it. They will come and take it back if someone else needs it! They once did this at midnight - knocked on the door for it while we were sleeping! I was obviously livid and complained the next day and they were apologetic but seemed to think it was okay to have only one iron! Don't be too put off by the haggling - it's part of the culture so don't let it upset you! Don't be taken in by 'guides' (young lads with nothing better to do) who will want to show you the way and then ask for a ridiculous amount of money at the end. Ignore them and approach someone who is not touting for business, or this could end in an unpleasant situation. Beware of the taxi drivers taking you to places for a guided tour - you are expected to buy something - not good!

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very welcoming. The hotel is only 4 years old and just needs a few bits of minor maintenance throughout. The only real negative was that sometimes the service from staff was slow to non-existent but would happily stay here again.

Great for last night stay
It was a perfect place to stay on our last night due to the fact that its near the airport. Its nice and quiet and very relaxing. Nothing around , so if you plan to go to the city or the medina alot the taxi would be very pricey. The breakfast was not that good ........ But again as a last stop or a place to be away from noise its great . If you want to be close to it all not a good choice.

Amazing hotel! Peace and quite away from the city.
Upon landing a driver from the hotel was waiting to pick us up friendly, chatty and made us feel very welcome. the whole experience was amazing. drinks upon arrival and the hotel did everything they could to check us in early. The staff were very friendly and always acknowledged us and went out their way to make sure we was comfortable and having a good time. I have stayed in many hotels across the world and i can honestly say that the manager of this hotel was the best hotel manager i have come across to date. He was always in the lobby, very friendly and chatty giving us advice on the best places to visit and the places to stay away from. When leaving to visit the main square he made sure we were going to be safe by giving us advice on what to do and what not to do. He organised a great valentines surprise for us, valentines day to remember!! I would defiantly visit this hotel again and without a shadow of a doubt recumbent it to anyone who asks about it. The hotel was peaceful and tranquil 10min drive from the main square which was perfect as we had somewhere to escape from the madness of the city.

Perfect getaway.
Everything was perfect our room was very big and spacious and a perfect getaway for a couple as it was quiet and had couples massages. The only disapointment was the menu they could of had a more moroccan menu instead if trying so hard to be Continental as i would have liked to try traditional dishes there as i dont trust everywhere to have good chefs and facilities. However the level of service was outstanding and it was so close to the shopping mall which came in handy.

Lovely quiet hotel
Stayed here with my wife for one week during October half-term. Hotel was a long way from fully occupied, making it very quiet and private (which suited us perfectly). Hardly anyone used the pool and at times it felt as though we were the only guests. Perhaps the only downside was that the restaurant was not open, although food was served around the courtyard and in the sky-bar. Tip: Club sandwich comes with fries and it's enough for two to share. Room was immaculately presented and was made-up every day. No issues with the room apart from the hair-dryer which was faulty. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool area; great. Four minutes walk is the local Carrefour which has a supermarket, cash-point facilities, food court and various shops - everything you need. The Medina is a taxi ride away, and takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the time of day. It's easy to catch a cab from right outside the hotel - just stand at the entrance drive to the hotel and wait 2 minutes for one to go by (Cab drivers are constantly on the look-out for tourists and will beep to attract your attention even if you're not looking for one). We spent the day time around the pool - easy to do given that temperature was in the 30's - and went into central Marrakesh for the evening. Great place and easy enough to handle the outstretched hands constantly asking for money. You just have to go with the flow! Don't get stressed. If all else fails, find a cafe seat and take a breather.

Overall - pretty good!
We didn't see a huge amount of the hotel but overall it was good, breakfast good, staff were friendly. The only 2 downsides were that it states 3 adults can fit in a room, but there are only 2 beds. How do you work that one out? Our argument fell on deaf ears at 1am in the morning, so for the first night we hijacked the sun loungers for beds. Hotels.com kindly sorted it out after that. The only other thing to mention is that they only have feather pillows so if you have allergies, take your own! As I say, overall it was a good choice of hotel.

Nice hotel close to the market
It was a small but nice hotel with beautiful staff. They were so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately a lot of people speak French but no English. It is hard to communicate but the others that do speak English will help. The rooms were very clean. They always opened doors for you and tried to make it as comfortable as possible. I have no complaints about the hotel. Food and drinks were pricey and you can get it for a lot cheaper In the markets or supermarket. At the end of your stay they will charge you for taxes. Make sure you have money left when you check out. Overall I would recommend it however I don't think it's a five star.

Wonderful!
We just got back from our three night stay at Cesar's and had such a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were lovely, and very spacious. The bed is enormous and very comfortable and our balcony overlooked the pool area so we had a lovely view. The room was also very clean and had fast wifi, a safe, and a mini bar. The roof top terrace of the hotel is amazing and has plenty of loungers and sofas that you can lay out on and enjoy the sunshine. You can also order food from the restaurant all day which was delicious, especially the calamari. The only negative I could possibly say about this hotel is that the spa pool in the basement was too cold for my liking, and as the 2 outdoor pools were too cold to swim in at this time of the year, I wasn't able to enjoy the spa. You also need to pay extra for the sauna/steam room which was disappointing and unexpected. If they were able to heat the spa pool up so that it was warm, as well as introduce complimentary access to the sauna/steam room for guests, it would be much better and more enjoyable. The hotel is right near to a large supermarket, Carrefour, which is great to get snacks and drinks from, and it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes in a taxi to get to the main square/the markets. It's nicely located outside of the hustle and bustle of the main city area so you can fully relax and escape the noise from the city center.

nov13-good but a few issues
it was good considering what we paid, i would not pay full price for this level of quality, no chance. the pool is not open 24/7, only til 9pm-disappointing. spa services are very expensive-a bit less than london prices-why??? you are in morocco! the pool isnt warm most of the time and even when you give an hours notice to warm the pool up, it is still cold-ridiculous! all staff except one lady at the pool reception i found to be very courteous and friendly-as they should be in a 5 star hotel. the last at the pool has some issues because we kept asking for the cold pool to be warmed up and even when we'd ask-it just wasnt done which meant we were swimming in a cold pool-not relaxing or fun! they have 3 pools, one indoor one which is heated, two outdoor ones that are not-whats the point of these in off season? no point at all-quite misleading and silly if you ask me.

Good experience, a few blips
The room was beautiful and we loved the roof terrace for sunbathing. The pool was un heated and a bit too cold for swimming however! The service could be improved as there were not always staff available on the terrace and I was given discoloured water for my tea one morning. The breakfast also lacked cereals and a variety of fruit. The cleanliness of the room could be improved too in the bathroom. Otherwise the staff were helpful when we asked for drinks and to book restaurants at reception.

Great Hotel. Full stop.
Absolutely lovely hotel. Really quiet and well positioned - just the right distance away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. The staff were absolutely lovely - especially Nadia on the front desk. She was so welcoming, friendly and helpful: a real asset to the hotel. I was just sorry I did not get to say goodbye to her and leave her a tip. The couple of comments that I would have is that the hotel should have more staff who do speak English as client facing staff - for example, on room service. However, having said that, the next time I visit I will hopefully speak more French or even a little Arabic. Also, it might be a good idea for the housekeeping staff to start work a bit earlier, as when guests came down for breakfast in the mornings (from 8.30am) staff were invariably cleaning the steps etc. Also the sun loungers by the main pool were a bit dirty and uncomfortable. On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Good for couples
Very friendly staff and clean facilities. A little out of town, but able to walk to centre of Marrakech in 35 mins/taxi for 40-50 DH. Basic room was clean and very comfortable if a little small, however it did have a small balcony. The main pool area was pleasant although there was some loudish music playing constantly which could be a little distracting. Breakfast was of a decent standard. Would suggest best for couples rather than families. Overall enjoyed the stay, quite nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town.

The Casar Resort and Spa was an excellent hotel, even though it was a little way out from the centre of Marrakech. We had a room on the first floor overlooking the pool and enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a cooling drink in the evening. A Carrefour supermarket and shopping mall was a few minutes walk away and were very handy. The Al Fassa Restaurant next door was great -, authentic Morroccan cuisine in a lovely setting. All in all, we were very satisfied with the service and facilities at the hotel and would recommend it to friends and family.

Stayed here with friends for a long weekend. This hotel was ideal. The staff are excellent, the owners non pretentious and eager to help, great facilities and cool set up. The rooms are all set up around a big pool, there's a cool rooftop bar and spa. You need taxis to get around but it's easy and cheap to get them from outside. There is a mall close by (2 mins walk) that sells everything you need. I can't emphasise enough how fantastic the staff were.

We stayed for 5 nights with three young children aged 6/5/5. The hotel and the rooms were stunning and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately the weather was ot great so we had to use the beautiful indoor spa pool. The breakfast was also lovely. I would recommend this hotel to any couples and it even had disabled access. However I felt a little on edge as ours were the only kids and I worried that we were ruining the peaceful relaxing environment for other couples! Myself and my little girl had a massage which was wonderful.

Ghost like hotel no atmosphere
hotel is situated on a busy dual carriageway surrounded by wasteland which may be developed in 10-20yrs time!! It is not a pleasant stroll into the old town due to the heat, car fumes and road noise. The hotel was empty most of our stay though the web site stated last room available though that may have been my room type. We never ate or sat in any part of the hotel as their was no-one else apart from staff. I requested the breakfast menu as their was no buffet breakfast only to be told their was a standard breakfast with a choice of eggs scrambled, boiled or omelet. The indoor heated pool was dark and only just heated, they wanted to charge for using the sauna 100 dirhams which i refused to pay after speaking to the manager. The apartment was a good size but an unusual layout with tv's in the bedrooms and wardrobes in the lounge. There were no locks on the doors so we whistled when using the bathroom to warn the children not to come in. All things considered not 5 nor 4 star but a mediocre 3 in a poor location with no atmosphere. AVOID

Relaxation all the way
My friend and I booked into here for sheer relaxation and that is exactly what we got! The breakfast was lovely, a fine array of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and mint tea in abundance, pastries, yoghurt, , cakes and pancakes! Very good value! The room was lovely, we booked into the superior and although that is the most basic room it was still very nice. The beds were like sleeping in a cloud and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The weather was mixed but due to the lovely room and spa facilities it wasn't a problem. The dinner and lunch menu is the same and a little limited but what we did have was done well. There is a supermarket and cash point as well as a "mega mall" just down the road so if you are keeping costs down you can go there for more inexpensive options. We booked a Hammam and massages and it was very good value for money. The mini bar is rather expensive and drinks and food are London prices but the savvy traveller can easily get by and make savings buying at the Carrefour. I lost my phone on the plane on the way out there and the staff were really helpful offering to call the airport and even go there to check if it had been handed in. I speak a little French but that wasn't a problem either as most of the staff had a least a basic understanding of english. If you are looking for a relaxing stay outside of the hustle and bustle I can strongly recommend it. It definitely has more of an adult feeling to it although there were children there too. I would definitely recommend staying here and would live to stay again if the opportunity arose. Very good value when you compare it to a similar level of quality and service in England. My only cautionary tale would be that we booked an airport transfer for (€17) and it was an hour and a half late. However, when we mentioned this on checking out they took it off the bill with no problem. I would suggest getting a normal taxi as it make things a bit easier and y.ou don't have to circle the arrivals hall where there are a huge number of people with hotel signs! I would even suggest arriving with your own sign with your name on it!!! All in all a lovely stay and well worth the money. The sky bar is also not to be missed as it is lovely to sit and have an aperitif and watch the sunset (albeit blocked a little by the spiralling presence of the kenzi menara across the way) .

The hotel is as beautiful as in the pictures. The staff trying to give the best service, we got a room upgrade and late check out for free. The SPA is gorgeous. The only thing that we did not like was the breakfast. There was no buffet, and you could only order the same breakfast every day. The selection was pastries, bread, juice, yoghurt and egg. The FRUITS were missing :-( Also it could be nice it the hotel had a small gym, since they got the space for that.
