"While the home definitely needs some TLC the location of this property is second to none. It's so peaceful and tranquil with the little creek running behind the home. A quick 10 min walk and we were on the beach watching the cruise ships leave the port. It's easily accessible off the TransCanada Hwy but in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. The home is spacious with many amenities and comfortable sleeping arrangements."

Aveda body wash and shampoo. Lovely staff. Beautiful hidden courtyard with koi pond and lounge chairs and gazebos. Beautiful rooms. No charge for a toothbrush. Cute Halloween decorations! They accommodated a late checkout. Wonderful experience!

Stayed at the Cedars Inn for the first time because our usual hotel in Gibsons was full. We were happy at how great it turned out to be. The outdoor pool was really nice, the room was clean and the front desk attendants were accommodating and lovely. We would stay there again!

Nice spot to wait out the ferry. Don’t forget to leave the village and drive away from the ferry to use the uturn route at exit 4 . That allows you to come back on the hwy to get in line for ferries. Little bit of a dead spot in the google map world .

We booked this trip last minute and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice! The Sylvia Hotel is full of old time charm and sophistication. From the moment we entered the lobby, we felt as if we had stepped into a by-gone era. The wonderful black and white photos of days gone by, the friendly welcome from the front desk staff, and English Bay beach just steps from the door, we knew that we had stumbled upon what felt to us like a hidden gem.

Beyond being a clean, well maintained hotel, we enjoyed a large room with well equipped kitchen and sitting area. The location is excellent; 5 minute walk to English Bay or the south entrance to Stanley Park, most services very close by (restaurants, groceries, etc.). The only onsite amenity lacking was coin op guest laundry. We did find one on Davie St., approximately 20 minute walk. Very good transit connections on Denman St., just off Comox St. (1 minute from the hotel).

Free self parking was great. Budget friendly. Room was nice, bed was comfy. Catching the bus to downtown Vancouver was very simple as it was just down the street. Arrived faster in downtown than I normally did by staying in the east end and taking the Sky train. The closest hotel I’ve found with uncovered and free parking that can accommodate a pickup.

Loved the modern space and kitchen and if we needed anything, I sent a text and the items were left at the door for us. It was beside a grocery and liquor store store and such a convenient location to walk anywhere! Really enjoyed our stay at Sonder! Would recommend to everyone!
