Each event is preceded by a series of practice and qualification days leading up to race day that add to the anticipation and excitement.
There’s plenty to see at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway outside of the racing events. If you are coming for one of the main events, there are large areas dedicated to camping and RVs , and a number of nearby hotels to suit all budgets. During race season, the speedway operates a convenient shuttle service from downtown.
