Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection

8/10 Good
"We stayed in Edinburgh for 3 nights and the Mount Royal was great. The room was nice, bathroom was a little small but manageable (shower is not fully enclosed so water will go out onto the floor). It was nice to have the bar and restaurant on site. The service at the reception desk and the bar were great. The location is nice and central to old and new town, Dean Village is even only a 20min walk away."

Motel One Edinburgh-Royal

Motel One Edinburgh-Royal

10/10 Excellent
"My fiancé and I stayed here for the week leading up to our wedding, and we absolutely loved it. The biggest selling point of this hotel is its location. Being able to walk straight out onto Cockburn Street was incredibly convenient, and we were within walking distance of so many shops, restaurants, pubs, and bars. It made exploring Edinburgh's Old Town effortless, and we rarely needed to worry about transportation. We didn't travel by car, but I could see parking potentially being an issue for those who do. However, the hotel is directly across from Waverley Station, which made getting around by train incredibly easy and convenient. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a standard amount of space comparable to what you'd expect from a hotel room in Canada. We had quite a bit of luggage with us for the week, but there was still room for the two of us to settle in comfortably. One particularly great perk was the luggage storage. We arrived in the city around 10 a.m., and the hotel had a large, secure, locked luggage storage room where we could leave our bags until our room was ready. This allowed us to head out and enjoy the day without worrying about our luggage. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. While the rooms are fairly standard, the location is what truly sets this hotel apart. If you want to stay right in the heart of Edinburgh and have the city's sights, shops, and nightlife right at your doorstep, this is an excellent choice!"

"Beautiful exterior fit nicely within the surrounding area. Centrally located by Royal Mile, High St. staff was immensely kind and helpful. Thank you to Sara for going above and beyond. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom."

8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay for the most part, only iffy experience was during breakfast and one lady got a little attitude when I asked to get breakfast for the day and she just kept telling me to go to the reception desk even though I had purchased at the little stand the day before. The food for breakfast was very yummy! The only thing I wish they had was a bigger concession stand with more drink options instead of a vending machine with only about 5 sodas and Gatorade and the water that tastes very minerally."
