The room overall is fine. The reception desk is closed too early. Breakfast isn’t buffet but a dish which isn’t enough and if we want another dish, we have to pay extra.

No breakfast options for vegetarians. We were lucky as the owner was cooperative but the staff wasn't accommodating for the breakfast. Just served salad /bread tea . No fruits at all

Nice resort in the middle of the city
I was visiting friends in the area. Many nice bars and restaurants in the vicinity although the resort is 20 minutes walk from the night market

Average for the price
It was an average stay. Rooms are adequate but look exhausted - need a refurbishment. Breakfast was either a standard American breakfast or Thai breakfast. The good thing was that there's a swimming pool and when we used it we had the whole pool to ourselves.

Ok, but needs maintenance soon
Great location, decent service and breakfasts, we just wish the maintenance was as good as the gardens. Room has the beginning smell of mild, pool pumps broken and so much trash in the pool water. I hope they .ca. find a maintenance crew who can work on the many small things that need attention.

MOSQUITOES are KING, and Vikings occupy!
Wonderful people, great location, fairly clean and orderly. On the flip side, however, there were an abnormal number of mosquitoes and old Scandinavians. I don't mean a few - LOTS. Our room had no less than a hundred mosquitoes, and everyone on of our neighbors were elderly Scandinavians - not bad people, just old.

Very nice resort feel to the hotel with the plants and water features and it is a smaller hotel so it feels intimate. Very nice pool and staff were very friendly.

Relaxing little family-run holiday resort
We stayed at Amara for four days and had a very nice stay. It has everything you can ask for like a big resort just in a small format. The staff is super friendly and will do everything to make your holiday a happy one. Rooms are nice, clean and convenient. .

Overall ok
No one will be at the lobby after evening, so make sure you get everything you need upon check in. Unfriendly staff, and obviously they have not enough staff because we saw the same person during check in, breakfast ordering, breakfast serving, adding extra bed for us and also check out. Not much choices of breakfast, the location of resort is far away from the main road.

The manager is nice; however, the night we came in, the front desk receptionist supposedly didn't have our reservation and was going to charge us, but said that she would talk to manager next day so it can be waived. We even showed her our reservation booked online, and did not want to acknowledge. She also said that didn't speak english, which we thought it was false. The room was full of mosquitos, and I told her that I'm allergic and she laughed. She brought in a repellent, and the room was dirty. I called hotels.com, and they called management and I was able to cancel the second night. I think they are racists towards people of color, they were must pleasant with europeans and white americans that were staying in the hotels.

We had a double room, and there was even a jakuzzi (which was not mentioned in the ad). Plenty of bars, restaurants, massage places etc within walking distance. Pool was small but OK for kids, beer only 80b (0,66L).

Bra hotell i lugnt område med nära till allt
Hotellet passar om man vill ha det lugnt men ändå nära till stort utbud av restauranter. Nära med tuktuk till stad och shopping.
