"The owner/manager who checked me in was rude, impatient and curt. The hotel is generally run down. I should have paid the extra $50. or so to get a better hotel. The one outstanding thing however, was the restaurant was very good- friendly staff and good food. The ownership/management seems not to care about the property. ( The the owners name out before you stay. )"

"Well situated in the heart of Halifax, easy to walk to numerous sites downtown. The breakfast was adequate and our room was very comfortable."

"The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. The restaurant on site was excellent with a nicely varied menu for breakfast and supper and was priced comparatively to the surrounding pubs. Most of all ALL the hotel staff were friendly, efficient and really made our stay special. A shout out to Manager Jeremy who seemed to be everywhere and willing to engage to ensure our stay was 100%, which it was."

"My reservation was not as i booked months ago (jan 2026) - staff member did make it right but made me feel like i was not welcome. The bed looked like it was slept in. Would not stay here again due to the customer service. But the location was convenient to access and close to major grocery store. "
