After a stressful checkout at our airport hotel cost us precious sightseeing time on our final day, Red George was an absolute lifesaver. Our host, Lane, went above and beyond by arranging an early check-in so we could drop off our luggage and park our rental car for the day—a huge relief given how challenging Halifax parking can be. ​Thanks to its incredible location, we completely turned our day around. We easily walked to both the Pier 21 Immigration Museum and the Maritime Museum at opposite ends of the waterfront, and even popped back to the room for a quick power nap before dinner on the pier. The room was extremely comfortable, the location was unbeatable, and Lane's hospitality made all the difference. Thank you, Lane, for going the extra mile!

This hotel isn't maintained very well. I had to put a bucket under the bathroom sink because it was leaking quite a bit. The towels looked more like rags than hotel towels. The pool area was the dirtiest I have ever seen and, more importantly, it felt unsafe. My daughter actually cut her toe on the stairs in the pool. There was a lot of missing grout, which exposed the sharp edges of the tiles. We also didn't see any staff during breakfast. The pancake machine was out of mix, and we couldn't find anyone to refill it. My kids were really disappointed. Will not be staying here again!
