The Capitol Hill Hotel is a total gem. It's the perfect DC hotel. Rooms are bright, fairly large, quiet and clean. The bathroom isn't huge but is tucked away for some privacy which was great for our family of four. Breakfast is included and there is coffee, tea and water available all day. A wine hour from 5-6 during the week as well. The hotel is eminently walkable. The Capitol, Supreme Court, Union Station, cute restaurants and a great neighborhood. Loved this hotel. The service was great too. Loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again.
wonderful location within walking distance to the national mall. the staff, however, doesn't seem to take requests or questions too well. upon check-in no one seemed to have any concern about the requests and necessary accommodations i had made. the staff didn't seem concerned about doing anything beyond the basics.
The location is just perfect for those who want to explore DC. The staff are very helpful, all of them are people oriented. Salomon helped us tremendously above and beyond our expectations, later on we got to interact with other members of the staff and we concluded these people really have a remarkable customer service!
To start, this is not a hotel. You rent a loft apartment. This means NO SERVICES including front desk staff. Apartment was great except broken lamp and hard bed. Great amenities and good access to transportation (2 block or so to trains, taxis and cabs). Not the best neighborhood, but safe. Also, beware of the extra fees hidden in the fine print. They are steep.
Lawmakers handle the nation’s business at the US Capitol, where Freedom peers across the land atop her perch on the rotunda. Many members of Congress live in the brick row houses near the Capitol complex. Across the street, the Supreme Court—the third branch of government—interprets the law. Nearby, the restored Union Station is a transit terminal and dining hotspot.
