A day before the trip I had asked for the location address assuming the owner would be present on arrival as this is a room in a basement and no check in details were provided. I also indicated a late evening arrival and updated this information in the message to the owner as our flights were delayed. We proceeded to the home where we rang the electronic doorbell two times with no response. We ended up leaving without a place to stay. I received a 4am call with an apology and an invitation to stay part of the day at the property to rest which I did appreciate. Being pregnant and having slept in our rental car overnight I declined due to feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I’m sure TJ and his family are very nice and would be courteous hosts, unfortunately it just did not work out. ##### jamie c.
