"The room and view were excellent. You could use a small gift shop for snacks and other items. The pools were beautiful but the smell of chlorine was unbearable. It reeked into the hallways on that floor"

"Our room was a suite (with balcony), and it was the nicest suite I have ever stayed at besides Toledo (Spain) and the most prestigious hotel suite in San Francisco, CA. It was 2.5 blocks easy walk to the Harbor and the Empress where we had high tea reservations. The staff (immigrants from Philippines and Wales) were highly professional, helpful, efficient, and wonderful! The large kitchen was fully equipped, including a washer and dryer (summer amazing), and I was most impressed with the recycling bin with 4 types of recycling options. Hotel also had the first composting bin I have ever seen, which we happily used… Most impressive and environmentally friendly! Only negative was the traffic noise from idiots with loud mufflers: closing windows eliminated the noise. Loved all the window blinds that kept room dark so I could sleep in, after a long days travel. In sum, this was one of the best suites I have ever stayed at. Very highly recommended! "

"Always love love love staying at the Zed Hotel, this trip was my daughter and her kids. Love exploring the retro decor in the room and in the property, including trying to master the Yo-yo and hard to tear them away from the pool and fun water slide. The staff are so accommodating and the property clean and well cared for. We were ungraded to the “cottage” as the the room we booked was not available - fabulous!!! We always stay at the Zed when in Victoria❤️ "
