"Nice venue right on the ocean. But not luxurious. Food is good, free breakfast, but rooms are small, without much other than a bed & bedside tables. No AC but ceiling fan was fine. Worst part by far is the open air disco next door, which blasted music through giant speakers several nights, until 3 in the am. Not great for a good nights sleep. "

"Very friendly staff and place is beautiful. It is close to various spots with beautiful nature. Cons: restaurant is overpriced, and be prepared to pay huge taxes on top of what you think you are going to pay. If you are Colombian and you book online, they will tell you that you need to pay a national tax. In my case, it was about 170 USD for a 4 day stay. If you have a foreign passport, male sure to bring it so you get exempt for paying this tax."

"I visited Villa Maria in 2023 by myself on business and was absolutely stunned with the entire stay. Enough so, I brought my fiance back with me just recently to experience all Villa Maria had to offer. The jungle location, the short beautiful walk to the ocean, comfortable and clean accomodations, to the super friendly management, grounds staff, restaurant staff, and wonderful food and drink, Villa Maria is a great and beautiful experience.
