"The room itself was spacious and clean, but the sink faucet was broken upon arrivals. It was fixed promptly while we were out of the room. Supplies were all put away and stored in the cabinet and difficult to find at times. We didn’t find the tissue box until the 3rd night of our stay because it was propped against the wall under the television. Overall if was a good stay."

"Our stay at Stay Sakura Ougi was wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and had nice amenities. It was convenient for accessing transportation and fun restaurants as well as some sights, including Kiyomizu-dera and Gion. We would stay here again if we ever our lucky enough to return to Kyoto."

"The staff was super friendly and they had some very good recommendations for food around the area. The hotel is located 10 min walk from many bars and restaurants and from tourist attractions. The hotel was clean and amenities were good in general. While there were no safes in the room they did have some in the lobby easy to access and right in front of the front desk. Only bad thing was the breakfast offered. The bread was stale and it looked as if it had been there for a week, other than...

"We lived this cozy hotel. The staff was very friendly and helped us with our restaurant booking and other recommendations in the city. Hotel is almost brand new. Rooms are japanese style but with a modern touch. We booked a room with onsen style bathtub and loved it. The metro connection is not a direct line to kyoto station as it is in Gion but it was absolutely worth staying here! There was also a 24/7 open Lawson store right across"
