"Convenient Hotel"
1.It was a final night of a 7-day vacation for my wife and I. We had been visiting friends and relatives along the west coast and planned the last night to celebrate with my son and his family in Oregon City. We planned to dine at the hotel's restaurant but when we got there we found that the restaurant was not open because of lack of employees. 2. There was a coffee pot in the room with coffee available, but no creamers, sugars or stirrods 3. There was only one very small wastebasket in the main area of the room. None in the bathroom.

"Fit our needs/requirements"
We were in Portland for four nights to look for an apartment, so we really just required a nice, safe, clean place to retreat to at the end of the day, and the Travelodge fit the bill. It was an easy walk to downtown/the MAX, and there was a bar/restaurant below that was surprisingly cool -- good food with karaoke, a real local hangout. Every morning there was a continental breakfast - fruit, bagels, coffee, cereal. We received fresh towels and our bed was made every day. Staff was helpful upon checking out and when we had transportation questions. The only drawbacks I can think of are our toilet was constantly running, and when it was flushed, it made this kind of monster noise, like the pipes were in pain. And when we were leaving for the airport at 2:30 AM, some sketchy characters were about (e.g., what appeared to be two call girls joining a couple guys in their hotel room). But overall, it suited our un-fancy needs.

"Very reasonably priced hotel!"
Although the outside of the facility was old and the hallways were old and run down, we loved our room. It was comfortable, very clean and such a great value! We didn't get to eat breakfast because we left the hotel before 6:00a.m. when the buffet was open. However, we got a couple of breakfast to-go bags and fresh coffee and juice to take with us. That was such customer service!

"Needs better quality control"
A nice hotel, with beautiful pond and fountain and landscaped grounds. However, little things could stand improvement. For example, the room had a coffee maker with coffee and creamers, etc., but no coffee cups. One of the two bath towels in the room contained a copious amount of blood left by a previous guest. Not an appetizing discovery. The large dining room, which was very attractive, drew only two parties besides ourselves during the dinner hour on a Saturday night. This may have been in part because of the limited menu, although our food was good. The included breakfast the following morning was excellent, and the dining room was very busy then.

"Great hotel, clean, and convenient location "
Impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and standard of the room. Breakfast provided was basic. Don't expect an early check-in - we arrived at noon, and were told check-in started at 4pm. So they stored our bags in the office and we had to go elsewhere and come back at 4pm to get into our room. At least they were friendly and helpful, but it would've been nice to be able to relax and freshen up instead. Quiet and convenient location, 5 minute walk to the light rail which takes you into town, a nearby shopping centre, or to the airport. Also very close to the Moda Center (concert and sports arena) and convention centre.

"Business travel - one night stay"
I couldn't find a reasonably priced room near the Lloyd Center for a business conference. So selected this hotel based on availability and proximitly to Interstate 5 and not being further south (drove from/to home in Seattle area). The surrounding area left much to be desired, but I did get a surpisingly delicious meal (and glass of wine) at Elmers. I was only there for a night so this was very manageable and I've definitely been if far worse hotel rooms. Be aware that travel times between the hotel and Lloyd Center was much longer than I expected (e.g., 20 -45 minutes).
