"Beautiful hotel"
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel overnight. The staff were very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The lobby was very pretty and welcoming...there was delicious hot apple cider available to sip on as well as coffee and tea.The restaurant looked lovely, unfortunately we did not have time to try it out.The room had all the comforts of home provided, even comfy bathrobes and slippers. The beds and linens were so cozy.I look forward to returning again soon.

"Excellent location"
The hotel was great, check in was awesome! We arrived very early and they found us a room that was available at that time. Any questions that we had they went out of the way to help. The location was perfect...just a short scenic walk into town. Great experience. We would totally recommend it and we will be going back on our next visit to Victoria.

"Beautiful historic hotel"
We spent a weekend here to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. We have stayed at a few historic hotels in various cities, but this one was easily the best. It is quite large, with a conference center and three restaurants. Every room is full of historical details in its architecture, all restored to near-new condition. Our room was medium-size compared to other hotels at this level, with a rather small bathroom and a large closet. The room and furnishings were in excellent condition and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable with nice firm mattresses and large pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the restaurants is advertised to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but was closed for lunch and dinner on the days we were there. The breakfast was delicious. For lunch we opted for the afternoon tea service, which offered plenty of delicious food but was not really a "ceremony", it was more like a lunch consisting of trays of appetizers and tea. So it was not quite what I had imagined but was still a satisfactory (though expensive) lunch. We had dinner one evening in the Bengal lounge, which had a somewhat limited menu but the food was very good. In all of these restaurants, the most unique aspect was the historic decoration and furnishings, including very comfy chairs and antique tables. The lounge further had a working fireplace and live jazz music.

"Beautiful hotel"
We only stayed one night, but it is a lovely place, and we enjoyed it. My only negative is that I hated the pillows, but that's an issue I have in lots of places. It was pretty dead when we were there (in December), but it was serene and lovely.

The expansive beaches and quaint downtown area of Victoria make the perfect spot for your trip for two.

Don’t wait another minute before stepping out onto one of Victoria’s beautiful beaches. Jump onto the Sidney Spit ferry and visit the archipelago in the Salish Sea, where you can go camping or whale watching. When you return to Victoria proper, walk hand in hand through Beacon Hill Park, which is full of rare plants, peacocks, and striking views of the surrounding territory. By this time, your stomach will be growling, so follow your noses to the numerous restaurants and pubs that line the city streets. You’ll find something delicious in no time.

Head back to your Victoria romantic hotel for the second – and perhaps most important – part of your trip. The two of you can sneak in a couples massage and let the practitioners knead the knots out of your shoulders, backs, and feet. Why not cuddle together in the hot tub afterward, and celebrate with a glass of champagne under the stars? Don’t forget to take a day to be lazy: order breakfast in bed the next morning, and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or in the hotel lounge.

Don’t leave any part of your romantic getaway up to chance. Book with Expedia.ca to make sure you get the best deals on hotels in Victoria, so you’ll have more money left over to spend on your sweetheart. If you’re looking to drop that extra cash on additional spa treatments, look into our listing of hotels near a day spa, where you can bask in full body wraps and reflexology sessions to your heart’s content.
